Civil Litigation Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil litigation, particularly in matters related to foreclosures and property rights. This role focuses on representing clients in court, negotiating settlements, and providing legal counsel in compliance with Florida Bar regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Represent client (the city) in civil litigation cases, including foreclosures and property rights disputes.Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and contracts.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.Negotiate settlements and facilitate dispute resolution between parties.Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations throughout the litigation process.Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings as required.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in the Florida Bar.Minimum 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on foreclosures and contracts.Strong knowledge of property rights and municipal law in Florida.Excellent negotiation, research, and communication skills.
