Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Associate Attorney in Houston, Texas. This role is focused on personal injury law within a thriving firm located in downtown Houston. As an Associate Attorney, you will be handling personal injury cases, managing client relationships, conducting legal research, and participating in settlement negotiations. We are looking for 5+ years of litigation experience within personal injury. Responsibilities: • Lead personal injury litigation cases from the development of case strategy to trial as first chair. • Collaborate with legal teams on case preparation, ensuring effective representation for clients. • Conduct legal research, providing accurate and precise information. • Draft motions, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and accuracy. • Participate in settlement negotiations, mediation, and arbitration as required. • Manage client relationships effectively, maintaining regular communication and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the legal process. • Utilize case management software and Adobe Acrobat for efficient document management and claim administration. • Leverage skills in civil litigation and personal injury defense for successful case outcomes. • Handle complaints and inquiries with attention to detail and expertise in personal injury law. • Maintain strong organizational skills, managing complex caseloads efficiently. Requirements + Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active State Bar of Texas license. + 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience, with significant first chair trial exposure. + Strong ability to work in a team-oriented environment while contributing valuable insights and expertise to case strategies. + Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills. + Proven track record of successful personal injury case outcomes either through settlement or trial. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex caseloads efficiently.
