Associate Attorney - Estate Planning
Description Associate Attorney – Estate Planning Our client is looking for an Estate Planning Attorney to accommodate the growth of the firm. The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years of recent experience in estate planning and probate. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a broad range of estate planning matters, including the preparation of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, while advising clients on tax implications and asset protection strategies. The partners will train someone in more complex business planning and tax planning as well. Key Responsibilities: - Draft, review, and revise key estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. - Provide clients with expert advice on estate planning strategies, tax considerations, and asset protection solutions. - Meet with clients to understand their needs, develop tailored estate plans, and address their legal concerns. - Collaborate closely with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive client service. - Stay up-to-date with evolving estate planning laws and regulations to ensure best practices are followed. - Represent clients in probate and estate administration proceedings when necessary. Requirements • Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school • Must be licensed to practice law in the state • A minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning and estate law • Proficient in drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney • Excellent research and analytical skills to handle complex estate planning issues • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and provide a high level of client service • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve legal disputes • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently • Proficient in the use of legal research software and other related software • Must adhere to professional ethics and demonstrate a high level of integrity.
