Associate - Balance Sheet Management - Treasury - 12 month FTC

Overview of the Department/Section

Role and responsibilities of Treasury Department are:

Control liquidity risk: Control liquidity risk effectively in EMEA region and collaborate with regional offices to build robust framework for liquidity managementControl interest risk: Control interest risk effectively and properly in EMEA regionCustomer support: Support customer-orientated business growth by providing competitive transfer price as well as ample liquidityRegulatory responsibilities: Ensure fair and prudent benchmark rates settingProjects Management : In addition to above usual tasks, take additional tasks including many 'Projects’ to promote the treasury business as whole bank basisKey ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with regional offices and relevant divisions to tackle ALM issues and to comply with regulatory requirementPlan and execute balance sheet management & investment strategy under direction of Balance Sheet Management Desk Head to achieve profit target, ensuring compliance with all limits and delegated authorityControl interest rate risk arising from cash, derivatives and bond investment portfolio under direction of Balance Sheet Management Desk HeadCommunicate with offices in EMEA and support them to promote treasury business in an efficient mannerLiaise with Tokyo head office, each regional office in EMEA and other stakeholders to achieve efficient balance sheet managementEstablish high level compliance standard within Treasury Department to fully satisfy both internal standards and regulators' requirementsOperate in a dual-hat team in Balance Sheet Management DeskPersonal RequirementsKnowledge and expertise in Treasury business as well as regulation and compliance requirement in Europe and/or Japan.English language skills and accounting knowledge in relation to market business and balance sheet managementHigh level communication skills and strong relationship management skill able to interact at regional and global levelTechnical CapabilityYou are responsible for identifying and understanding issues, errors or concerns, swiftly and accurately and resolve problems taking into account agreed procedures and service needs.Responsible for working effectively with other people via different methods, both inside and outside of HR, building and promoting effective working relationships.Authority to make result driven strong decisions and manage large workloads and tight deadlines.Responsible for using a range of communication skills to be able to adapt to a range of clients, stakeholder and external parties.Relationship with other functions and stakeholdersMaintain and enhance good working relationships with stakeholders, across the region and globally to share best practices, provide support and develop effective local policies and procedures appropriate to the Company, and working in support of the One MUFG and overall Group strategy.

Please note MUFG operate a hybrid working policy with 3 days per week in the offic
