Associate Brand & Channel Marketing Leader, Commercial Building Insulation

 

Job Purpose:

The Associate Brand & Channel Marketing Leader develops and executes marketing strategies to drive adoption of OC products in the Commercial Building Insulation sector. You will lead the Marketing Team in research projects to identify target audience needs, values, and motivations, enabling effective channel, content, messaging and product strategies. Additionally, you will oversee product research projects to uncover new product opportunities and validate market claims. You will need to flex your collaboration skills, as this role has responsibility across multiple teams & product portfolios; working with Product, Sales, and Technical Marketing teams is essential for developing and validating customer needs, optimizing campaigns, and achieving KPIs.

 

Reports to: Commercial Marketing Team Leader / Foam Insulation Business Director | Dotted line to Residential Insulation Business Director

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Leads Development and Execution of Integrated Marketing Plans for Commercial Insulation

Owns Brand and Channel strategy development, planning, execution, and measurement/optimization. Evaluates/owns and manages media, measurement, and budget plans for marketing campaigns. Ensures communication of commercial/branding strategies to market and internal teams. Manages product launches, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet budgets and timelines.

 

Owns Customer Discovery Research & Data

Identifies areas of marketing research to fuel our product pipeline & marketing communications strategy relevant to our Design Community, End Users / Contractors, and Distribution Customers. Candidate should be familiar with research methodologies including but not limited to: UX, claim development, message acceptance, audience segmentation – qualitative, quantitative, and Human Centered Design based methodologies. Works with sales, third parties, industry tools, etc. on key areas to gain insight into new tools and tactics to increase spec downloads, brand consideration, and/or product/service development opportunities. Owns development of persona map and customer journey for key targets.

 

Leadership & Project / Vendor Management

Must be comfortable managing & leading people to achieve business goals. Responsible for management and evaluation of Marketing Team & Contractors. Manage media, PR and social spend in conjunction with external agencies. Provides project leadership to the external agencies and media/partners while managing marketing programs to achieve business outcomes.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree required in Marketing/Product Management or related field; MBA preferred. Minimum 8+ years’ experience in marketing – strong strategy background. Ability to travel up to 20%.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Strong understanding and experience with brand strategy, objective/KPI setting & optimization, SEO/SEM and project planning. Executing business and marketing strategy for a sizeable business segment. Digital marketing experience: cross-channel strategy (social, email, search, etc., across paid, owned, and earned channels), audience segmentation, and capability to review different reports and provide POV summaries and actions. Research planning & execution: human centered design, qualitative, quantitative, ethnographic. Experience in Building Materials industry or with Architects preferred but not required.

Ability to manage budgets and accurately forecast and understand financial drivers to achieve business outcomes. Ability to work with cross-functional teams without direct reporting to achieve key deadlines and goals. Ability to take calculated risks and learn from experience to show how we would do things ‘better.’ Creative, highly motivated, and results-oriented with a high energy level and passion for marketing. Shows good, independent judgment, makes decisions, and commits to a course of action with appropriate fact-based analytics. Willingness and ability to operate "hands on" to get results. Effectively brings thought leadership and diverse points of view together to formulate solutions that meet both business segment and group objectives.
