What the day will look like On assigned accounts, you will assist marine brokers with: + Verify, prepare, review and issue invoices, endorsements, binders and certificates of insurance to ensure their accuracy and completion in support of the team’s service plan; + Preparing and submitting marketing submissions to underwriters; + Processing new policies and policy renewals, changes, additions, deletions and cancellations; + Calculating adjustments and premiums on policies and other insurance documents; + Communicating directly with underwriters to follow up or obtain additional information; + Reviewing & proofreading assignments, obtaining signatures & dispensing as appropriate; + Under the direction of the Broker, reviewing policy documentation to ensure coverage requirements have been met; + Request loss runs; + Update quote proposals; + Complete policy checklists; + Assist with benchmarking analytics; + Assisting with the co-ordination of renewal meetings and required presentation materials with the Broker, client service team Additional Job Responsibilities if you have your own renewals; + Negotiating with Underwriters for the best terms, conditions and competitive pricing for existing and new clients. + Verifying all policies and documentation for accuracy in accordance with terms and conditions. + Collaborating with Account Executives to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business. + Analyzing client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements; preparing and communicating marketing proposals for renewals and new business. + Negotiating, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the underwriting community for the ultimate benefit of the client. + Following up and approving documentation for new contracts, + Reviewing & proofreading assignments, obtaining signatures & dispensing as appropriate; + Request loss runs; + Update quote proposals; + Complete policy checklists; + Assist with benchmarking analytics; + Policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals. + Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
