The salary range for this position is $55,000- $65,000. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. What the day will look like On assigned accounts, you will assist marine brokers with: + Verify, prepare, review and issue invoices, endorsements, binders and certificates of insurance to ensure their accuracy and completion in support of the team’s service plan; + Preparing and submitting marketing submissions to underwriters; + Processing new policies and policy renewals, changes, additions, deletions and cancellations; + Calculating adjustments and premiums on policies and other insurance documents; + Communicating directly with underwriters to follow up or obtain additional information; + Reviewing & proofreading assignments, obtaining signatures & dispensing as appropriate; + Under the direction of the Broker, reviewing policy documentation to ensure coverage requirements have been met; + Request loss runs; + Update quote proposals; + Complete policy checklists; + Assist with benchmarking analytics; + Assisting with the co-ordination of renewal meetings and required presentation materials with the Broker, client service team Additional Job Responsibilities if you have your own renewals; + Negotiating with Underwriters for the best terms, conditions and competitive pricing for existing and new clients. + Verifying all policies and documentation for accuracy in accordance with terms and conditions. + Collaborating with Account Executives to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business. + Analyzing client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirements; preparing and communicating marketing proposals for renewals and new business. + Negotiating, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the underwriting community for the ultimate benefit of the client. + Following up and approving documentation for new contracts, + Reviewing & proofreading assignments, obtaining signatures & dispensing as appropriate; + Request loss runs; + Update quote proposals; + Complete policy checklists; + Assist with benchmarking analytics; + Policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals. + Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
