Associate - Building Consultancy

Cushman and Wakefield are looking for an Associate Building Surveyor to fully engage in delivering a range of commercial Building Surveying services with clients to deliver professional solutions and manage projects. The position includes leadership responsibilities, nurturing client relationships, and identifying growth opportunities. As an Associate, you will take on a higher degree of responsibility in business development and client service delivery. You will contribute innovative ideas, manage teams, and assist senior leadership in communicating strategy while fostering team development.

Core Responsibilities:

Due Diligence: Conduct acquisition surveys for offices, industrial units, and retail properties.Construction Monitoring: Assess specifications, quality, costs, and compliance for projects.Contract Administration: Oversee repair, maintenance, and refurbishment works to ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery.Planned Preventative Maintenance: Prepare comprehensive maintenance schedules.Dilapidations: Provide expert advice on schedules, negotiations, and exit strategies.Fire Insurance Assessments: Conduct measured surveys and prepare reinstatement cost assessments.Party Walls: Advise on party wall issues and related consultancy requirements.Other Services: Involve in sustainability assessments, feasibility studies, service charge advice, tenant plan approvals, and building pathology investigations.

Knowledge & Experience:

Proven expertise in networking, client relationship management, and business development.Ability to manage and mentor teams, delegate tasks, and report financial outcomes.Skilled in preparing bid documents, conducting pitches, and managing large portfolios.Experience in building surveys, dilapidations, and ideally project monitoring.
