This position is held by a motivated and highly organized Associate Business Manager to provide exceptional cross-functional project management and business support for Development Sciences. The Associate Business Manager will partner with DevSci Chief of Staff, DevSci senior leaders, and key stakeholders by supporting complex, cross-functional initiatives to drive organizational impact. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement will be instrumental for this role in helping the business embrace new ways of working.
The Opportunity:
As an integral member of this dynamic team, you will be:
Strategy through Execution
Proactively propose, design and execute project plans, anticipating challenges and integrating creative solutions
Support leaders in tracking progress of goals using data-driven insights to help prioritize next steps and drive for optimal outcomes
Business Operations & Communications
Identifying areas for improvement in existing processes and execute with improved solutions
Providing support for department-wide meetings including town halls and critical leadership team meetings
Developing and manage project deliverables, timelines, tasks, priorities, risks, and resources
Engaging with the DevSci Business Manager Community and leverage the DevSci Administrative Business Partner network on cross-functional initiatives and events, as appropriate
Partnering with gRED Communications team to develop transparent and impactful messaging that builds trust and alignment
Designing and execute large-scale collaboration meetings across Roche
Assisting in business cycle and annual goal planning for leadership teams
Overseeing the cross-functional Portfolio Governance calendar providing line of sight across gRED
Collaborating with key stakeholders to update and maintain gSites and gRED websites
Employee Engagement
Partner with leadership to assess and enhance employee engagement, proactively seeking feedback through informal pulse checks and propose creative initiatives that strengthen our culture
Plan and execute team-building activities, retreats, and offsite meetings
Who You Are:
BS/BA degree or equivalent industry experience (working in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry)
Prior experience working in Development Sciences is preferred
Demonstrated success in directly partnering with senior level executive leaders
Ability to work independently with limited direction in a high-pressure, fast paced and high-impact environment
Be well organized, efficient, and self-driven to take on responsibilities as they arise to drive results
Adapt to the organization’s competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
In depth knowledge of cSuite Tools and ability to adapt to and learn new technologies

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, California is $81,900-$152,100. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
