Job Description The Associate Dining Room Cook is responsible for preparing food under the direction of the chef for all associate meal periods, ensuring high-quality meals for staff. Additional duties include maintaining cleanliness and stocking of the dining room, as well as assisting the banquet kitchen and other kitchens with prep work as needed. Responsibilities + Prepare and cook meals for associate dining in accordance with established recipes and quality standards. + Assist the chef in food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and cooking as needed. + Ensure the associate dining area remains clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times. + Monitor food levels and replenish items as necessary during meal service. + Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices to uphold health and safety regulations. + Assist with prep work in the banquet kitchen and other kitchens as needed. + Follow direction from the chef and kitchen supervisors while maintaining efficiency and teamwork. + Operate and clean kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, fryers, and slicers. + Ensure waste reduction and proper inventory management to maintain cost control. + Uphold a professional and positive attitude while interacting with staff and team members. Qualifications + Previous kitchen or culinary experience preferred, especially in a high-volume setting. + Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, safety, and sanitation. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. + Strong teamwork and communication skills. + Flexibility to assist in various kitchen areas as needed. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. + Shifts may vary based on meal periods and operational needs. + Requires flexibility, including potential weekends and holidays. *This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
