Capstone is recruiting for a motivated Associate to work closely with senior investment banking professionals within our buy-side M&A practice, while executing a variety of corporate finance transactions and supporting business development initiatives. We need polished, articulate, and hardworking professionals to be part of our successful team. Must be eager, energetic and want to be part of our amazing culture!

As part of our buy-side team, you will have the opportunity to work with top executives at private equity backed companies and corporations across a wide range of industries, supporting the execution of their targeted acquisition strategies and will play a meaningful role in creating and maintaining a pipeline of acquisition opportunities for clients. You will gain exposure to senior leaders at high profile client companies early on and be a part of a fast-paced, energetic team that thrives on completing transactions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Identifying and building lists of appropriate prospective acquisition targets through proprietary researchDrafting client selling materials and writing professional correspondence to clients and acquisition targetsEngaging in professional communication with executives at target companies over the phone and through other means of outreachAnalyzing companies, industries, historical financial statements and prospective financial informationBuilding financial models and performing analysesManaging and executing due diligenceUpdating records in firmwide CRM (DealCloud)Providing guidance/oversight to analysts and internsMust have a willingness to take on additional projects and work outside of the scope of the job description

Qualifications/Requirements:

Four-year degree in business, economics, finance, accounting or similarHigh degree of maturity and integrityStrong attention to detail, leadership skills and work ethicSelf-starting team player who can excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environmentDemonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysisBasic understanding of financial statements and financial modelingStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office productsIf FINRA licenses not held already, will be required to pass the FINRA SIE, 79 and 63 exams (where required)Must be authorized to work in the United States – E-Verify Employer

Compensation Range:

$80,000-$100,000 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
