Trane Technologies is hiring an Associate Category Manager in Davidson, NC. The Associate Category Manager will manage a segment of the Fasteners, Hardware, and Fittings category within the North America region. This is a fantastic opportunity for career development into Category Management.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week. 

Responsibilities:  

Collaboration: Identify, engage and align with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality or other business partners) to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality; Partner with business unit Procurement teams to efficiently transition suppliers as needed; Support region/sector New Product Development (NPD) Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs.Negotiations: Support negotiations and supplier selection; accountable for contract lifecycle management and compliance.Cost Management: Responsible for delivering category productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects. Supplier Management: Support supplier segmentation, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within category; Ensure creation of supplier profiles for all SRM suppliers.Risk Management: Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field.2+ years of procurement / sourcing experience, ex: consulting, purchasing / buyer, and/or analyst experience. Ability to assess vendors and demonstrated negotiating skills.Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions and strong conflict resolution skills.Professional communication; both verbal and written are required.

  

Compensation:  $70,000- $90,000
