Chemours is seeking an **Associate** **Category Manager​** I to join our growing team. This position will be available at our Wilmington, DE location. Associate Category Manager I is an entry-level position in the procurement category management team and assists in the development of the overall strategy for distribution chemicals and industrial gases including the sourcing, selecting, and purchasing goods or services by researching potential suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring quality standards. An Associate Category Manager works cross-functionally under the guidance of a Category or Senior Category Manager to evaluate and select suppliers in terms of quality, service, cost and capability. This role collects, analyzes, summarizes, organizes the data to manage the spend, ensuring sourcing process compliance, allocating the supply base, developing plans for procurement, managing transportation, and expediting or troubleshooting delivery of quality materials and services. **The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:** + Category Strategies: Develop an understanding of strategic sourcing methodology and manage less complex category/sub-categories of spend to deliver reliable, cost advantaged, and sustainable supply. + Data analysis: Monitor spend data and trends, analyze buying patterns, and identify opportunities to optimize product portfolio within assigned category. Utilize data analytics to identify purchasing trends and inform decision-makers. + Market Research: Stay current on the industry and competition. Observes local/global market/competing companies and adapts supply strategies to remain competitive in the market. + Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules. + Reporting and communication: Prepare regular reports on category performance, key insights, and actionable recommendations to senior managers. + KPIs: Supports department KPIs goals + Negotiations: Helps gather commercial data, such as pricing, pay terms, key contract clauses, etc. to develop a negotiation target + Contract management: Review and manage supplier contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, drive value on new and existing contracts, by authoring Contracts with firm KPIs that enhance Compliance. + Savings: Drive cost savings/avoidance, and working capital improvements through collaborative efforts with suppliers, internal customers and procurement category managers. Engage with the Site Procurement Leads (SPLs) to leverage learning and cost improvement opportunities. + Bidding: Assist in RFX and competitive bids, including bid tab creation, and other Go To Market activities + Other Operational Duties: Expedite documentation and deliveries of orders to maintain on-time delivery requirements. Effectively use SAP to create and maintain supplier agreements, pricing, or commodity analytics in a timely manner. Perform other procurement duties, as needed, maintain PO / Proposal logs and folders, and supplier setup. **The following is** **_required_** **for this role:** + A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or engineering, or 8 years of equivalent work experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment. + Must have 5 years of buying experience; 2-3 in procuring or managing spend related to raw materials or industrial gases. + Strategic Sourcing or Supply Chain Management domain experience (buying, vendor management, supplier evaluation, regulatory compliance, segmentation/taxonomy). + Proficiency in ERP business system and exposure to bidding software. + Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications and be able to create and interpret key reports. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; self-motivated with ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously, with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting + Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external stakeholders. + Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. + Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning). **Benefits:** Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits Packages 401(k) Match Employee Stock Purchase Program Tuition Reimbursement Commuter Benefits Learning and Development Opportunities Strong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives Company-paid Volunteer Day We’re a different kind of chemistry company because we see our people as our biggest assets.
