Associate Client Relationship Consultant (Group Benefits)
What You'll Do We’re looking for an Associate Client Relationship Consultant to join our Group Benefits team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in relationship building, works well in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn the intricacies of the employee benefits business. Once you've secured your insurance license and completed at a minimum 9+ months of training in a regional training center learning the group benefit business, here are the kinds of things you'll do: Efficient marketing of Group Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, and Critical Illness solutions through financial advisors (i.e., brokers) for employer groups ranging from 3 to 499 employees. Enhance networks, relationships, and Principal Financial Group's local brand through active participation in associations, industry groups, advisor events, etc. Growing and retaining a block of group clients in a region through expert renewal analysis and negotiation, collaboratively selling additional products and service, enrolling clients in employer-paid and voluntary products and assisting brokers and employers groups with sophisticated service issues. Who You Are BS or BA degree or 8 years of equivalent experience 0+ years of professional experience Insurance Licensing required based on state/federal laws and/or company policy in accordance with current licensing policy. Must have excellent persuasion, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, presentation, listening, oral and written communication skills, as well as analytical skills. Advanced math skills required with basic skills related to graphs, symbols, equations, etc. Must be able to maintain accuracy while being detail oriented. Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential. May spend a minimum of 40% of time out of the office in face-to-face contact with customers and brokers, including overnight stays. Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $26.97 - $36.49 / hour Time Off Program Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Pension Eligible Yes Additional Information Work Environment This is a hybrid role, in which you will be able to blend days in the office and days working at home in a typical workweek. You will work with your leader to determine your options. Management reserves the right to adjust the days required in office.
