Tyson Foods is raising the world’s expectation on how much good food can do. The Commerce Marketing Team is excited for the growth that is occurring within the company and on the team! The Brand Strategy arm of Commerce Marketing is responsible for providing strategic thought leadership and support across Tyson Foods’ retail packaged brands. The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for managing and ensuring the Commerce Marketing programs developed align with their assigned brand’s annual strategic plans.
This role has relationship accountability with brand teams and must understand how to balance Commerce Marketing best practices with brand objectives. In addition, this role will develop National Commerce plans and provide feedback on Retailer Commerce plans, with a keen focus on optimizing the overall Commerce Marketing function’s ROI. This position will interact regularly with Brand, Sales, Finance, Analytics, Agency Partners and Vendors.
Responsibilities:
Support the Commerce Marketing Team with the overall strategies for National Commerce and oversight of Retailer Commerce programs.Work collaboratively with the internal Commerce Marketing Team and Agency Partners to ensure the Commerce Marketing strategies and plans, align with the Brand/Category/Portfolio goals, but also align with the goals of our strategic retail customers.Influence multiple functions, both internally & externally, across multiple levels, in the budgeting, planning and development of programs.Lead the agency in project management for all National Shopper programming and brand innovation launches - from creative concept to execution. Write agency assignment briefs and serve as the brand advocate during strategic and tactical discussions with key customer Teams.Conduct strategic business analysis and identify key business drivers, while creating and tracking agreed upon KPI's to optimize ROI.Execute all programs on time and within budget.Minimum Requirements:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in marketing or another business-related field required
Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience, in marketing, sales, shopper marketing, eCommerce, and/or agency. Past brand marketing or shopper marketing experience preferred. Food industry experience is a plus.
Computer Skills: Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on building Excel spreadsheets as analysis tools. Proficient systems knowledge and experience with syndicated data (Nielsen/ Mintel /Retail Link strongly preferred).
Communication Skills: Effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills. Public speaking skills for presentations to senior management, peers, and other stakeholders required.
Additional Requirements: Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, resolve conflicts in a productive fashion and perform at a high capacity to deliver against a significant volume of work and quick turn-around on unanticipated brand or customer generated requests. Strong project planning and management skills, interpersonal skills, a total business orientation and an ability to thrive in a multitasking environment.
Potential Travel: Approximately 10%.
Location: This role will be based onsite at our World Headquarters in Springdale, AR.
