The Contract Strategist will facilitate department success with a broad range of strategic responsibilities within the contract management discipline.  Responsibilities include providing pricing, policy, contract language and business best practices guidance and/or recommendations to business leadership.  This role will leverage influence, analytical and critical thinking skills to benefit the organization through optimization of revenue on core and marketing solutions and other service sales and mitigation of risk. 

Strategize, negotiate client contracts and work cross functionally to ensure operational and legal compliance.

Manage contract strategy process, including standard contract templates, exception and escalation processes, redlining, pricing and best practices.  Evaluate precedent setting issues and provide recommendations to leadership based on business objectives, long term impact, and marketplace conditions.

Identify, research and understand emerging trends in the marketplace.  Present findings to senior sales, product management, marketing, and Finance leaders, as well as Legal, when appropriate. 

Drive contract terms and conditions that reflect the business objectives and marketing strategies.

Work closely with sales team and leadership to ensure adherence to contracting procedures and best practices.

Participate in contract review projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors' degree and 4 years' of experience reviewing sales contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors in Business or legal

5 years of related experience

JD strong preferred

Expertise in contract drafting, redlining, negotiation and management

Organized/Attention to detail

Familiar with supplier relationships and/or business to business relationships and contract process. 

Interpersonal savvy, dealing with ambiguity, problem solving, action oriented, written communications, listening, time management, composure, creativity, learning on the fly and business acumen.

Additional Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older
