The training program will allow you to: learn effective terms and conditions redlining techniques and best practices, gain a comprehensive understanding of our products and services and how they integrate with contracts, develop skills in drafting and structuring contracts with clarity and precision, master the art of drafting contract language to ensure accuracy and avoid ambiguity, learn financial modelling techniques and how to integrate them into contracts, and creation of various types of contracts and/or bids. The Associate Contracts Specialist role is an integral part of the Sales Operations team and is responsible for supporting our Sales Team for all types of transactions related but not limited to: Advanced Staining, Core Histology, and Pathology Imaging at Leica Biosystems. This role is based in our Deer Park, IL office. In this role, the Associate Contracts Specialist will be expected to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, customer service, service, IT, sales, marketing) and balance internal/external business operation demands. You will be a part of the Contracting Team and report to a Contracting leader responsible for Contracts and/or Bids. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Draft and finalize agreements and/or bids + Evaluate and review proposed modifications to contracts, quotes, and terms and conditions, coordinating the internal flow of information to assemble contract language and financial inputs + Prepare and complete bids and special forms, as applicable + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to construct financial models + Engage in various projects and additional duties as assigned The essential requirements of the job include: + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, English, Finance, or a related field It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Process improvement The base salary range for this role is $58,000 – $72,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting . We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range . This range may be modified in the future . This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay .
