Responsible for assisting individuals, in accordance with their treatment plan, with mental health and/or substance use disorders to improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments under the close supervision of a Qualified Addiction Professional.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment Participation: Assist in the screening and assessment process under the guidance of a licensed or qualified counselor or therapist, adhering to State Regulatory, CARF, and agency standards within specified time frames.

Individualized Treatment Plans: Develop and refine treatment plans for clients, ensuring compliance with State Regulatory and CARF guidelines, under the supervision of a licensed or qualified therapist, reflecting individualization and evolution based on assessment findings.

Timely Correspondence: Complete all required correspondence promptly, maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

Active Team Collaboration: Engage in clinical staffing and team meetings, providing valuable feedback on relevant cases and contributing to collaborative decision-making.

Direct Service Adherence: Follow the weekly direct service provision model, delivering consistent and effective support to clients.

Detailed Documentation: Document all services provided in line with State Regulatory, CARF, and agency standards, ensuring entries are timely, appropriately formatted, and aligned with treatment plans.

Professional Review: Ensure treatment plans, updates, and discharge summaries are reviewed and countersigned by a Qualified Addiction Professional.

File Accuracy: Address any file or charting deficiencies within the designated time frame, ensuring comprehensive and accurate records.

Transition Assistance: Support clients through the transition process, completing final correspondence such as transition summaries, plans, and letters to facilitate smooth transitions.

Ongoing Training: Fulfill annual training requirements as outlined in an individualized training plan, totaling 36 hours every two years, to stay current with best practices and regulatory standards.

Professional Relationships: Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, upholding the Code of Ethics and agency policies.

Crisis Management: Effectively handle crisis situations as they arise, notifying the supervisor according to policy requirements, and ensuring swift and appropriate responses.

Group Facilitation: Lead group counseling, group education, family conferences, and individual sessions, focusing on promoting recovery, healthy decision-making, and improved problem-solving skills.

Company Commitment: Show genuine interest in and support for the company’s long-term and short-term goals and objectives.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, Vice President, or Executive Team Member, demonstrating flexibility and dedication.


 

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:​

Illinois Requirements:

Obtain CADC according to IL admin rule part 2060 within 2 years and renew as required.

A trainee that meets the requirements for registration, supervision, and professional development as set forth by the state's appropriate credentialing board.

Applicant must be willing to become licensed in additional states, other than the state currently licensed in.

Applicant must be willing and comfortable with providing telehealth services to the individuals we serve.

GED or High school diploma required.

Additional Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of case management and rehabilitation methods, principles, and techniques as they relate to mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of the program to which the associate is assigned.

Basic knowledge of biological, cognitive-affective, and social bases of behavior.

Working knowledge of therapeutic theories and techniques, individual differences, and scientific methods or procedures of understanding and influencing human behavior.

Capable of employing methods and counseling techniques in an effective manner.

Ability to assist in conducting individual and group interventions.

Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
