You Are:
UST is searching for an Associate Creative Marketing Design who will lead the development and implementation of content strategies that support business goals and enhance user experiences.
The Opportunity:
· Oversee the creative pipeline and writing of high-quality, bite-sized educational articles that resonates with our target audience, promotes behavior change, and drives engagement.
· Design and produce user centered UX/UI content, including microcopy, onboarding materials, feature flows, and help documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across all touchpoints. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and developers, to ensure a unified approach to messaging and content delivery.
· Conduct in-depth user research and usability testing to inform content decisions, optimize user experience, and drive behavior change.
· Mentor and guide junior content team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
· Analyze content performance metrics and user feedback to refine content strategies and improve engagement.
· Act as a point-person for client touchpoints, reviews, and share-outs, as well as support new client initiatives.
· Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content strategy, UX writing, and behavior change.

What You Need:
· Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in content strategy, content design, or a related role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
· Extensive experience writing both marketing/blog content and UX/UI content for digital products.
· Experience building effective email and push campaigns to activate users and invite growth.
· Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive content strategies that drive user engagement and behavior change.
· Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail and a user-centered approach.
· Experience leading content initiatives and partnering with cross-functional product teams.
· Familiarity with user research methods, usability testing, and analytics tools to inform content decisions.
· Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Ideally (but not required), experience working with enterprise clients in the financial or benefits space.
· Content management systems (CMS): Proficiency in using CMS platforms like Contentful, WordPress, or Drupal to create, edit, and manage digital content.
· Design tools: Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite for collaborating with designers and illustrators.
· Communications platforms: Experience using email campaign and push notification tools like OneSignal, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), Amazon SNS (Simple Notification Service), etc.
· Analytics tools: Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Looker, or Adobe Analytics to track content performance, user engagement, and conversion metrics.
· SEO knowledge: Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices to ensure content is discoverable and ranks well in search engines.
· Accessibility standards: Awareness of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to create content that is usable for all audiences, including those with disabilities.
· Collaboration tools: Proficiency in collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Google Workspace for effective communication and teamwork with cross-functional, international teams.
· Content strategy frameworks: Understanding of content strategy methodologies, including content audits, personas, journey mapping, and information architecture.
· Project management software: Experience with project management tools like Trello, Asana, or Jira to manage content workflows, timelines, and team collaboration.
· Strategic thinking: Ability to think strategically about content initiatives and align them with broader business goals and user needs.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, collaborate with team members, and present to stakeholders.
· Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers to achieve common goals.
· Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, and user feedback in a fast-paced environment.
· Empathy: A user-centered approach that emphasizes understanding user needs, behaviors, and pain points to create relevant and impactful content.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Washington
Compensation Range: $65,000-$97,000
Benefits
Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
