Skills and CompetenciesAt least 2+ years of experience in Financial Institutions or 3-4 years in credit analysis in similar fields.Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are a must.Validated and well-developed analytical skills.Python programming & Visual Basic for Applications knowledge is a plus but not required.EducationMinimum bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, statistics, accounting, or engineering.ResponsibilitiesConduct quantitative assessment of financial documents and economic/market data, as well as analysis of bond indentures, financial statements, and other legal documents.Conduct initial and ongoing credit analysis on a dedicated portfolio of financial institutions. Actively supervise the portfolio and make recommendations for rating transitions in a timely fashion.Present credits efficiently and accurately in rating committees and other internal analytical meetings, formulate a coherent credit rationale and present this rationale in a persuasive fashion.Demonstrate credit rating judgment as evidenced by the ability to distinguish among entities at different credit ratings levels.Produce timely and relevant research on specific issuers, general credit trends, or sector related issues that is in-depth, high quality, informative and focused.Build and manage relationships with investors, advisors, and issuers.Develop Moody's Local Brazil franchise through intermediary marketing and transparency initiatives.Lead issuer meetings, including presenting key credit rating factors optimally and asking probing questions that result in substantive dialog about key credit issues.

About the Team
Join a dynamic team at Moody's as an Associate Credit Analyst who will be leading a portfolio of financial institutions’ ratings and assessments and will work on the credit analysis of new and existing deals rated by Moody´s Local Brazil. The role will cover different financial institutions, including banks, insurers and asset managers, among others.
