We are looking for you to join our team as a Associate Cyber Software Engineer / Cyber Software Engineer based out of San Diego, CA. As a Associate Cyber Software Engineer / Cyber Software Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. What You'll Get to Do

Design, plan, implement, and perform assessment of security controls, polices, and processes compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF Knowledge Service guidance. Assist with the design and develop system security architectures.Provide advanced technical analyses of cyber infrastructure challenges and problems; develop/identify technical solutions responsive to customer needs.Participate in team reviews of technical requirements, design and implementation plans prior to deployment. Assist with ensuring the product requirements integrate into the total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Present solutions to customers and senior management using tailored material based on the audience.Serve as a Cyber Security engineer (ISSE) supporting high-level technical and practical expertise. This position requires practical experience in developing and implementing a security baseline and must be able to communicate their significance and relevancy in a clear, detailed manner.

This position may be filled as an Associate Cyber Software Engineer or Cyber Software Engineer.

Basic Qualifications for Associate Cyber Software Engineer: 

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 0 years of experience.An additional 4 years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science DegreeExperience with requirements development, derivation, system integration & test and validation and verification.Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications for Cyber Software Engineer:

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 2 years of experience; or 0 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degreeAn additional 4 years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science DegreeExperience with requirements development, derivation, system integration & test and validation and verification.Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Active/current U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance or higher preferred.DoD 8570 IAM II/III Certification (CAP, GLSC, CISSP, CASP CE). DoD 8500-series and 8510.01 IA policy directives, approaches to cyber security, knowledge of security procedures, IATT and ATO requirements.

Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,200.00Salary Range 2: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
