Provide business intelligence and data expertise to Operations, Client Services, and Leadership: Actively builds and maintains strong partnerships and collaboration across the organization Responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to drive alignment in the development or modification of policies, procedures, or workflows Serve as a consultant, providing recommendations to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for BI, data, dashboarding, and reporting needs Understand the business model of each operation to deliver customized solutions Partners with other team members in the development and continuous improvement of a best-practice, optimized, and effective development life cycle Translate business requirements, design, build, conduct testing, troubleshooting, and support user acceptance testing, and deploy BI solutions via Tableau (or other BI solutions) Collaborate with key stakeholders in the delivery of a cohesive, integrated, and aligned BI strategy Collaborate with teams to integrate systems Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses Create visualizations, reports for requested projects, ad hoc reports, analyses, and scenarios as needed Develop and maintain technical documentation Drive continuous learning and improvement in the development of new skills and technologies to enhance how we deliver actionable visualizations, intelligence, and insights - Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. 4+ years of experience as a BI developer or data scientist, preferably in the healthcare or technology industry ● Advanced SQL query skills required. ● 3+ years' experience developing BI solutions in Tableau highly preferred and desired. ● 3+ years' experience working with Salesforce objects and data highly preferred and desired. ● 3+ years' experience working in data lake/warehouse solutions like Snowflake preferred. ● Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, MIS, etc.) required, or equivalent combination of education and experience ● Professional certification preferred. ● In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework preferred. ● Excellent Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the organization. ● Expert level in MS Excel and ● Advanced level in MS Word and PowerPoint ● Must be able to work under pressure, take initiative and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. ● Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. ● High level of ethics, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality **Careers with Optum.** Here's the idea.
