You Are:

The Associate Data Architect leverages expertise in a technology area (e.g., Informatica Transformation Terradata data warehouse Hadoop Analytics). Responsible for Architecture for a small/mid-size projects.

 

The Opportunity:

·       Implement either data extract and transformation a data warehouse (ETL Data Extracts Data Load Logic Mapping Workflows stored procedures data warehouse) data analysis solution data reporting solutions or cloud data tools in any one of the cloud providers (AWS/AZURE/GCP)

·       Understand business workflows and related data flows. Develop design for data acquisitions and data transformation or data modelling, applying business intelligence on data or design data fetching and dashboards.

·       Design information structure work-and dataflow navigation. Define backup recovery and security specifications.

·       Enforce and maintain naming standards and data dictionary for data models.

·       Provide or guide team to perform estimates.

·       Help team to develop proof of concepts (POC) and solution relevant to customer problems. Able to trouble shoot problems while developing POCs.

·       Architect/Big Data Specialty Certification in (AWS/AZURE/GCP/General for example Coursera or similar learning platform/Any ML).

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What you need:

·       Proficient in modern data management tools, including Hadoop Ecosystem (Sqoop, Hive, HDFS, Spark, Scala, Yarn), AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM) and Databricks.

·       Strong background in developing industry standard ETL solutions using IBM DataStage, with deep knowledge of star and snowflake schema design, dimensional modeling, and data integration.

·       Expertise in Unix shell scripting for batch processing, file validations, and data migration between RDBMS and HDFS.

·       Adept at Agile methodologies, production support (L1/L2), and leading onshore-offshore teams.

·       Create reusable components, conduct thorough design and code reviews, and deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions.

·       Good team player with strong communication, analytical, and multitasking skills, and a proven ability to drive project success from inception to post-implementation support.

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Illinois

Compensation Range:  $80,000-$120,000

 

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
