NOTE:   This position is offered as a hybrid role in the Seattle, WA area.  You must be willing to work in office at the Nordstrom Seattle office a minimum of 3 days/week to be considered for this position.

From traditional to trendy, this team is shaping the styles and looks our customer love, and we have an opportunity for an Associate Designer to join our team.

 

The ideal Associate Designer is experienced and has an eye for trend and the ability to create original saleable concepts that encompass style, color and fabric as directed. 

 

A day in the life…

 Conceptualize and accurately sketch design ideas based on direction from Senior DesignerPrepare and present design sketches to cross-functional partnersCollaborate with design team and cross-divisional partnersSupport Senior Designer to prep for key milestonesResearch trends and competitive brands and report on findings

 

You own this if you have…

 Bachelor's degree in DesignMinimum 2+ years' experience in design industryStrong design portfolio and/or CV resumeClear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as a teamStrong ability to hand-sketchProficiency in MS Office suite and Adobe CS along with ability to quickly adapt to new technology and systemsStrong time management and multi-tasking skillStrong understanding of industry and trends with enthusiasm for Nordstrom culture and growth opportunity in a corporate environment

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $59,500 - $110,500 Annually

This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
