The Associate Designer is responsible for assisting designers and senior designers in the conceptualization and execution of and designs for the wallflower and car fragrance categories within defined theme and seasons from concept through final delivery. They present and deliver brand-right designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy; encompassing style, icons, forms, and finishes for new/existing product lines. They assist in the research and interpretation of fashion trends and consumer needs that uphold the integrity of the product lines/brand. Responsibilities Assist in the concept and design of a variety of 3D products for the wallflower and car fragrance categories. 3D product design and a solutions-focused approach to various plastic injection molding principles and techniques and finishes. Assist in the creation and execution of final designs. Create Design Turn Overs (DTO) and finalize artwork for production. Work with cross functional development partners during product sampling stages Assist in the manipulation of data with the use of 3D Software (ideally Z-Brush) Update design board layouts and printouts. Communicate with packaging engineers and vendors on design modifications. Assist in identifying innovation within the spheres of: LED lighting techniques, plastic finishes, and the competitive landscape

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 -5 years of prior experience in 2D / 3D design, Industrial design / product design, toy design, fashion accessory design, illustration Strong sense of trend in relevant fields such as: home décor, fashion, color, consumer goods Strong level of creativity, conceptualization, execution, organization and design skills Computer illustration skills - Strong Illustrator and Photoshop are required. Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously Fundamental experience and/or knowledge of 3D modeling software (Z brush preferred). Ability to work in an agile, highly collaborative design environment Proven communication skills. Candidate should be curious, self-motivated with a passion for learning. Education Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent experience
