Who You Are:

What You'll Do:

In collaboration with the Senior Design Director, Responsible for upholding design integrity throughout the entire design and development processAttend all fittings, prototype through productionDaily clear communication with overseas factories, suppliers, tech designMeet with vendors for sourcing and attend local trade showsHelp organize presentation boards, maintain line lists and assist in the preparation of meetingsResponsible for department timeline adherence, ensuring all products and seasonal concepts deliver to meet key and final calendar datesPartner cross-functionally with woven design team, Fabric team, production, technical design and salesCreate design flats using Photoshop, Illustrator and hand sketchesParticipate in seasonal fashion week presentations/showMentoring and managing the assistant / intern, assigning projects and duties in line with the deadlines, and workload of the rest of the team.Travelling when necessary for proto review, yarn fair, representing the brand to a high standard.

You'll Need to Have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Knitwear Design3+ years of experience in a similar role, specific to sweaters. luxury ready-to-wear experience a plusStrong passion and genuine interest in the industry.Experience/comfort working in a Creator-led design environmentMeticulous attention to detail, “perfectionist” mentalityMust be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities at onceSound knowledge of fashion, luxury women’s wear, trends, designers, and the history of the brand.Strong understanding of garment specifications and technical knowledge fit, garment construction, yarns and yarn performance, product development, trim, techniques, and production processes.Must be proficient in ability to sketch and illustrate both by hand & computerExperience using Centric ( or similar) for product data management
