Associate Director, Animal Health IT – Information Governance Lead

About the Position

The Information Governance Lead collaborates across all levels of the organization, from senior management to tactical execution, to understand information governance needs and propose solutions for information governance, data quality, reference data management, data governance and metadata management. Working in a matrixed environment, you will direct all aspects of the design, development, and delivery of easy-to-use information governance capabilities. You will cultivate an environment that generates innovative ideas, and you will execute them in partnership with internal business partners, IT colleagues, and outside vendors.

We are the Information Technology (IT) organization of our Animal Health company. Within IT, our team is responsible for partnering with business leaders to provide technology solutions that enable Animal Health to be agile, data-focused, and ensure the reliability of information management. The position reports to the Animal Health IT Enterprise Data & Process Excellence lead.

Primary Responsibilities

Work closely with business partners to identify and interpret information governance needs and respond with configurable solutions.Build and review requirements for information governance, data quality, metadata management, and reference data management platforms, including the platform's UI/UX.Understand your partner personas, deliver a fantastic user experience, balancing users' desires and the technology's capabilities.Develop and own ongoing support for information governance materials, including training documentation, SDLC documentation, and product guides. Ensure data integrity across all information governance solutions.Direct end-to-end information governance program delivery teams and establish product roadmaps.Work together with IT and business liaisons for master data management and establish stakeholder relationship management across the our Animal Health division. Collaborate with business, platform, data enablement, and IT teams to standardize information governance tools and cross-train teams to use them.Research and evaluate information governance technologies, making recommendations for new capabilities that are aligned with the company's strategic goals and improve business results.

Your Daily Activities include, but are not limited to:

Management - Responsible for the design and implementation of strategic, aligned, and compliant solutions to support business initiatives. Support management vision, strategy, and policy for building a high-performance engagement model with business partners.Process and Insight - Realize core sustainable processes and enablers of successful delivery. Practice and foster a mindset of leveraging analytics to gain insights for data-focused decision-making.Relationships - Build exceptional relationships with stakeholders that are focused on meeting business needs and achieving the most value for investments.Organizational Change Management - Demonstrate and drive high-quality change management practices with clients and stakeholders while implementing solutions that are sustainable. Be a role model of management capabilities and behaviors.Global - Ensure that the solutions are aligned with IT platforms and support the business strategy.Diversity - Respect diversity on teams, different perspectives, ideas, knowledge while working towards a common goal.

Your Profile

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline

Experience and Skills

Minimum of 7 years of information governance, data governance, reference data management, data quality, master data management, business intelligence or analytics experience.Minimum 3 years of experience with Global Information Governance and/or MDM Implementations (e.g., Collibra, Immuta, SAP MDG, Informatica MDM, Tibco EBX).Information Governance implementation experience – design and implement within pharmaceutical and technology business is a plus.Experience working with customer engagement models, Customer and Product MDM, Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain & Manufacturing data is highly preferred

Additional Skills

Agile Scrum Master or Agile Product Owner CertifiedA demonstrated record of success as an Information Governance Professional in the pharmaceutical or technology industry, with deep knowledge on data and business processes and systems.Ability to evaluate complex situations and processes and effectively integrate and synthesize the data to form a complete cohesive picture.Proven self-starter with high standards of excellence and an innovative mind.Exceptionally well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate and effectively influence stakeholders and business strategy.The ability to navigate cross-divisional programs, coordinate projects and processes across regional/global boundaries, and build effective cross-functional teams.Excellent communications skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.A team player who places great emphasis on collective achievements and team diversity.
