Associate Director, Business Analysis

IQVIA’s Centralized Outsourcing Operations Hub (COOH) includes Patient Support Services (PSS) across our Access and Affordability business lines. IQVIA’s Access team provides all hub services including reimbursement, patient assistance, adherence, and in-home solution support. Our Affordability solutions not only offer the insights and strategic know-how for designing patient affordability and engagement programs, but also the capacity to seamlessly implement, manage and optimize these programs to drive adherence and maximize the performance.

There is an opportunity for seasoned Business Analysts to join our team as we continue to grow to support the PSS business.

Essential Functions:

Depending on job assignment, the essential functions will vary

Understanding of the different systems and processes used within PSS to support the business and how they work together and examine impact of new solutions. Broad understanding of PSS operations, systems and processes will enable the BA to ask the appropriate questionsStrong communication and collaboration skills are imperative to work closely with cross-functional teams and clients, including developers and technical resources as new development projects are identified and need to be documentedConsultative approach in client meetings, often leading and providing recommended approaches to achieve the overall program objectiveWrite business requirements documents and create supporting materials as needed (ex: process flows)Facilitate discussions, decision-making and conflict resolutionFormulate and define requirements through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business rules and requirementsKnowledge of moderately complex information systemsIn-depth knowledge of PSS, specifically Hub, Assistance Programs, and Adherence programs (varies based on job assignment)Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic functionalities as necessaryCompetent to work in some phases of systems analysis and recognize the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environmentCreates User stories and Test scenarios for custom enhancement requirements (varies based on job assignment)Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and requirementsDevises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired resultsIncludes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specificationsConsiders the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environmentEngage with clients and discuss system capabilities as a Subject Matter Expert, review client business rules for accuracy and completeness, and align to client’s objectivesParticipation in client discussions related to setting business rules. Act as a liaison across functional teams (Project/Program and Technical) to gather requirements and consult on capabilitiesGuides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration/management or related fieldAt least 8 years of business analyst and/or Patient Support Services requiredPharmaceutical or Biotech experience requiredStrong people skills and ability to positively influence stakeholders to resolve impactful risks and drive decision makingFull technical knowledge of most phases of systems analysisDemonstrated ability to understand client requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems and processes to enable execution of those skillsIn-depth knowledge of current systemsBusiness acumen (knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, Access and Affordability programs).Change management/process analysis skills (e.g., Business Process Reengineering).Strong communication skills, including ability to present and engage tactfully with clients.Project management experience in overseeing or contributing to complex, multi-discipline projects.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $125,200.00 - $232,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
