Associate Director, Career Coach - Master Career Center, Tepper School of Business

The Tepper School of Business is seeking an Associate Director, Career Coach to join the Master’s Career Center (MCC) team. Reporting to the Executive Director of the MCC, this role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your industry expertise and career counseling skills to support Master in Business Administration (MBA), Master in Business Analytics, and Master in Management (MSM) students.

As a key advocate for our graduate students, you will work within a collaborative, matrixed team to deliver top-tier career services, empowering students to achieve success with leading employers worldwide.

 Your core responsibilities will include:

Career Coaching: Provide career coaching and support to our MBA and MS students engaged in career exploration, professional development, internship and full-time job search preparation and execution.

Employer Relations: Create new and growing existing relationships with employers to recruit MBA and MS talent from the Tepper School of Business.

Leadership, Teamwork and Communication: Act as a committee lead or liaison to help facilitate collaborative recruiting events, travel to meet with employers and join/lead student treks. Act as an MCC liaison to a variety of internal and external partners.

Project Management: Taking lead responsibility for managing the development and execution of student orientation programs, workshops and other events to support students’ career goals.

Assessment and Reporting: Engaging in tracking and reporting student employment outcomes following the MBA Career Services and Employer Alliance’s Standards. Using data to highlight outcomes, trends and making recommendations and decisions.

You should demonstrate:

Proven effectiveness working in a hybrid work environment, with the flexibility to travel domestically and (rarely) internationally. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of individuals from graduate students, professional colleagues, faculty members and Deans, corporate recruiters and senior executives is required.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required; Masters degree is strongly preferred.

3-5 years of professional experience required, which can include corporate, higher education or a combination of relevant roles; 5+ years preferred

Relevant industry experience or demonstrated deep familiarity with relevant careers in management consulting, technology and/or analytics is highly preferred.

Ability to work independently and within a matrixed team environment.

A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Work Posture: This position is operating on a hybrid schedule, with an on-campus/in office presence two days a week.
