Associate Director, Commercial Contracts

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director, Commercial Contracts join our Commercial Operations team in the Melbourne office.

Reporting to the Director, Government Affairs & Contracts, you will act as the primary point of contact for commercial and operational matters with the National Blood Authority (NBA) and New Zealand Blood Service (NZBS), managing contracts to maximize financial and operational performance while minimizing risk.

The Role

Lead the day-to-day management of AU and NZ contracts, ensuring seamless delivery of services and effective issue resolution.Collaborate closely with site supply chain, logistics, customer service, quality, and other functions to ensure timely and efficient management of contracts.Establish and maintain systems and processes for contract management, including meeting management, KPI reporting, and performance management.Actively participate as a critical partner to relevant Brand Teams, sharing insights and supporting strategy development and execution.Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, ensuring compelling value propositions.Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders (internal, government, and non-government), ensuring CSL Behring’s interests are well represented.

Your Skills and Experience

Graduate degree in Science, Business, Finance, Marketing, Law, or related discipline; postgraduate commercial qualification is desirable.5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.Experience in government agency interactions, negotiations, and project management.Understanding of plasma products or therapeutic areas would be beneficial.Preferred experience with manufacturing sites and supply dynamics.Strong communication, relationship-building, influencing and leadership skills.Demonstrated financial and analytical capabilities.
