We continue to research and develop treatments for cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, and other orphan diseases. **How you’ll contribute** The Associate Director of Facilities will establish and maintain the highest standards for building, ground, and equipment maintenance of our diverse facilities across multiple properties. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring that all buildings and facilities including cleanrooms, manufacturing areas, warehouses, laboratories, and office spaces are well-maintained and operational to support our manufacturing, laboratory, and office environments. The Associate Director of Facilities will lead a team in optimizing all preventative, predictive, planned, and emergency maintenance programs, acting as the primary liaison with functional leadership, vendors, and other stakeholders. This role will be crucial in maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment while supporting the company's broader goals and objectives. + Direct, lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of direct and indirect reports, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and excellence. Inspire team members by setting ambitious yet attainable goals aligned with organizational priorities and performance metrics. + Direct the operation and maintenance of assigned UT facilities, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency + Contribute to strategic planning by developing and refining planned maintenance programs, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and strategically managing resources to enhance operational efficiency, maximize equipment uptime, and meet asset lifecycle expectations + Collaborate with other departments to propose and drive value stream objectives in alignment with the operational goals of the organization + Implement, monitor, and continuously improve standard procedures, policies, and workflows to drive operational efficiency + Develop equipment and maintenance standards to eliminate hazards and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements + Proactively track team and departmental performance, providing constructive feedback and resolving escalated issues efficiently to maintain high standards and achieve objectives + Ensure facilities comply with life safety, environmental, and other regulatory requirements, maintaining appropriate documentation for all audits + Investigate accidents and incidents, implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences and foster a safe working environment + Identify, qualify, and strategically manage vendor relationships to deliver top-tier facilities services, including skillful negotiation of contracts and performance management + Provide guidance to lower-level managers on change management, conflict resolution, and coaching, ensuring a robust support structure within the department + Participate in budget planning and management, ensuring effective allocation of resources and managing expenses related to facilities operations + Plan for staffing needs within the facilities department to meet operational objectives and regulatory compliance + Provide facility guidance to Senior Leadership, aligning operational initiatives with corporate vision and strategic goals + Act as a subject matter expert during client and agency audits, ensuring adherence to industry standards and maintaining up-to-date documentation + All other duties as required **For this role you will need** **Minimum Requirements** + H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) + 15+ years of progressive experience managing groups that provide diverse maintenance/engineering support with a H.S. diploma or + 12+ years of progressive experience managing groups that provide diverse maintenance/engineering support with a Bachelor's degree + 10+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience + Advanced knowledge of GXP requirements in a pharmaceutical/Bio-Tech environment + Knowledge and experience in mechanical systems, electrical, and plumbing, required; HVAC, OSHA, EPA compliance, or trade skills/licenses + Advanced knowledge of full-cycle maintenance, including preventative, predictive, planned, and reliability programs + Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze data, identify trends, and use data to connect operational and administrative activities to overall business strategies + Computer proficiency, including working knowledge of word processing, Excel, and database applications; proficiency in facilities management software + Advanced knowledge of safety directives and policies related to equipment operation + Must hold a valid state driver’s license, proof of insurance, an acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, facilities management, administration, or related field. Equivalent related work experience or combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree. + 6+ years of people management experience + Certified Maintenance Professional (CMP)-IMI + CMRP-Maintenance and Reliability Professional + Experience with sustainable facilities management practices + Familiarity with Blue Mountain RAM software + Degree, certification, or coursework in facilities management, reliability, business management, or similar The salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $175,000 per year. In addition, this role is eligible for the Company’s short-term and long-term incentive programs.
