Job Description
The Associate Director, Center of Excellence, Field Analytical Tools is a strategic leadership role which applies consulting, analytic, and communication skills to partner with Sales and Marketing in the design and ongoing implementation of field analytical tools. The Associate Director, Center of Excellence (CoE) Field Analytical Tools responsible for providing thought leadership and strategic direction on innovative solutions for the AbbVie US Field and Sales Teams that integrate our understanding of opportunities among key external stakeholders (HCPs, Accounts, Patients, Speaker Programs and Samples). This position influences cross-functional teams to create and onboard new analytic solutions and delivery platforms. Our field analytical tool solutions serve a multitude of stakeholders including Sales/Field and Sales/Field Leadership, Field Planning & Analytics Team (FPAT) and senior leadership.
The position is a part of the Field Planning & Analytics Team which drives field force effectiveness by optimizing our sales force size and structure, ensuring our IC designs are driving the right behavior, and ensuring our call plans, field tools and operations provide our field teams with what they need to drive the business in their markets. This position reports into the Lead Director, IC, Field Tools & Data Strategy and will lead a team of Center of Excellence Field Analytical Tool Managers in order to support field analytical tools philosophy and processes across all franchises.
This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to commute to our Mettawa, IL location at least 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
Leadership
+ Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Center of Excellence Field Analytical Tool Managers.
+ Epitomize self-sufficiency and serve as a role model for the broader FPAT organization on what good looks like regarding bringing expertise in-house.
+ Demonstrate influence without authority by guiding, coaching, and training the TA Field Tools leads.
+ Coach Managers on technical ability, communication with stakeholders, process enhancements and working collaboratively with other business partners.
+ Manage all aspects of vendor relationships on a day-to-day basis. Ensure vendor-assisted projects are managed within budget and timeline and appropriate methodologies are employed.
Field Analytical Tools Thought Leadership
+ Drive collaboration between Franchise Analytics, Field Planning and Analytics Franchise Tools leaders, and the Field Tools Managers to ensure coordination across the organization to deliver value added solutions to the field.
+ Effectively communicate the achievements against key milestones of projects. This position is also responsible for collaborating with internal partners to define and drive regular communications to key stakeholders to help them keep a regular pulse on the activities and accomplishments of the initiatives.
+ Stays connected with new ideas and approaches both within AbbVie’s enterprise and external in Pharma, drives a lean-forward posture on analytic solutions with the organization.
+ Collaborate with appropriate cross-functional partners to build or onboard the solutions to ensure acceptance by the designated stakeholders.
+ Responsible for bringing new ideas to the table to address business issues and tackle new solutions.
+ Effectively coordinate and interface with cross-functional teams to help build solutions, able to adapt to changing prioritize and can prioritize work effectively.
Qualifications
+ BA, BS degree is required.
+ Minimum 8 years analytical experience and/or commercial operations experience required. Problem-solving orientation; ability to work independently.
+ Experience working with leadership to solve problems and identify/sell/implement solutions.
+ Must exhibit proficiency commensurate with grade in the following competencies: strategic thinking, problem-solving, innovation, collaborative partnerships across functions, analytical capabilities, leadership, drive for results, and communication for greater team effectiveness.
+ Knowledgeable of a variety of PC programs (including, but not limited to Excel, SPSS Modeler, SAS, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI), database querying and analytical skills such as regression, clustering, machine learning and other advanced statistical skills.
+ Demonstrates critical thinking and strong communication skills resulting in the ability to anticipate customer and business needs and address questions or issues.
+ Demonstrates an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple, yet compelling fashion.
+ Learns, fast, grasps the “essence” and can change the course quickly where indicated Raises the bar and is never satisfied with the status quo; Embraces the ideas of others, nurtures innovation and manages innovation to reality.
+ Ability to develop in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical industry data and therapeutic area to resolve business problems more efficiently and effectively

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
