The Associate Director, Finance reporting to the Vice Dean of Finance for Fox/STHM, monitors the operating budget for twenty-three departments and serves as the budget authority for administrative and center departments which includes projecting the assigned revenue and expenditure units, working with departments to reconcile variances, review expenditures of departments, forecasting as necessary, manage undergraduate and graduate scholarships, and completing accounting functions, reporting and financial analysis for the Administrative departments for FOX School of Business
They will work with the Faculty Affairs team and assist with faculty payroll, including stipend processing, one-time payments, increased compensation, and salary adjustments as needed. She/he will interact with various offices throughout the university, including Purchasing/Accounts Payable, Bursar, Financial Aid, Comptroller, Risk Management and General Counsel and will implement, maintain and ensure compliance with university policies and procedures. Read, interpret, administer, and ensure compliance with university regulations, deadlines, and school policies.
The individual will serve as a resource to Fox administrative and center staff on financial-related matters, such as university purchasing policies, TUMarkeplace requisitions, and Concur invoice submissions. They will provide training as needed on matters relating to financial operations for the administrative units. Performs other duties as assigned.
Financial Management
*Oversees fiscal management with administrative units and reviews yearly and monthly budget planning, undergraduate Fox endowed, undergraduate Fox endowed, graduate scholarships, forecasting and analysis for the Vice Dean.
*Create new analyses to aid decision-making and perform ad hoc research and analyses in response to manager and/or client department requests
*Conduct year-over-year spending analyses and provide recommendations to streamline spending when possible (administrative departments and Deans office)
*Prepare monthly account reconciliation for review by the Vice Dean of Finance.
*Assist with budget preparation (administrative departments)
*Analyze past results, perform variance analysis identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
• Track general ledger activity and initiate or request any needed transfers
• Communicate with all appropriate parties the status of where the administrative and center budgets, or associated documents are in the process.
• Support part-time scholarship position to build schedules for CAFSBM and input scholarships in scholarship universe
• Meets regularly with the Vice Dean of Finance to review financial performance for administrative departments.
Administrative Department and School-Wide Programs Support
• Assist and resolve higher-level procurement issues, sole source requests, contracts/legal approvals
• Maintain budgets and conduct financial analyses of revenue and expenses across administrative and center departments
• Ensure the timely payment processing of all vendor and contract-based agreements for administrative and center departments
• Manage and monitor faculty flat rate and incentive payment processing, work with the Faculty Affairs team and assist with stipend processing, one-time payments, increased compensation and salary adjustments as needed.
• Provide financial reporting on activity
• Serve as a point person relating to financial questions for administrative and dean’s departments.

Required Education & Experience\: Bachelor’s degree and at least four (4) years of progressive related experience that includes higher education administration, specifically dealing with doctoral programs, event management, program management, student advising, professional development coaching, counseling and/or student services. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Education & Experience\: Bachelor's degree and at least four years of directly related experience that includes financial and budget management using computerized systems in a university or business setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities\:

*Ability to travel to Temple University Center City Campus as well as off-campus sites that may not be accessible via public transportation.
Preferred\:
*Master’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
* Experience in higher education.
*International experience in a higher education environment.
* Experience with Kronos, TU Marketplace, and Concur.
