1. JOB DETAILS: Job Title:

Financial Reporting- Associate Director, Global Shared Services

2. JOB PURPOSE – State briefly (in one or two sentences) the overall purpose of the position:

Establish and manage the financial reporting (Record 2 Report) team within finance shared services based in Jordan to service all Hikma entities across MENA, EU and North America (12 Countries). The shared services finance director will be responsible for month-end, quarter end, interim and year-end financial reporting under IFRS for group reporting and local statutory where required.

 

The individual will be also responsible for managing stakeholders such as internal and external auditors, internal controls and assurance team, corporate reporting team and other corporate finance teams and will closely work with the onsite finance business partners to manage both internal and external stakeholders.

End-to-End RTR Process Oversight

Oversee the entire RTR process, from journal entry preparation to financial statement generation. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in general ledger maintenance, month-end and year-end closings, reconciliations, and reporting. Monitor compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Ensure the timely preparation and submission of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies. Collaborate with the tax and compliance teams to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory compliance. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and resolving audit findings. Review and document positions in accordance with IFRS and prepare appropriate internal documentation of technical accounting and other policy conclusions.

Transition & Process Improvement

Drive the transition and integration of RTR processes into shared service centers or new systems. Identify and implement continuous improvements to optimize processes and increase efficiency. Partner with the transformation team to introduce automation and best practices across the RTR function.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Act as the primary contact for RTR matters, working closely with key internal stakeholders such as finance, business units, and global process owners. Coordinate with external stakeholders, including auditors and outsourcing partners, to ensure accuracy and compliance in RTR activities.

Team Management:

Supervise the Finance shared services team to ensure alignment with the key goals set.

Service Quality: 

Assist in delivering excellent services to customers by defining and refining the scope and key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the relevant department heads.

 

 

 

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS – Please ensure that the minimum requirements are the ones essential for undertaking the role:

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum: 

Bachelor/Masters in accounting Strong technical accounting background with thorough knowledge of IFRS Must have strong analytical and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills

Preferred: CPA, CA, ACCA

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years’ managerial experience and overall 10~12 years’ experience in public accounting and/or Record to Report/financial reporting within industry. Preferably in Shared services or multinational environment. Big 4 public accounting firm experience is strongly preferred Experience working in a life science company is preferred

SKILLS

Analytical skills, decision making capabilities and an understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Strong and practical internal control knowledge and comprehension, including financial control and business understanding Demonstrates ability for strong management, organization, communications, analytic, presentation skills and an effective cross-functional communicator High level of attention to detail High level of comfort presenting to senior management Prior ability to analyze regulatory and compliance requirements Interpersonal skills and ability to develop mutually beneficial, positive relationships to successfully interact in team environment Ability to influence Demonstrates understanding of the importance of business ethics, integrity and trust Proven ability to effectively function under pressure
