Your Role:
The Associate Director, Global Technical Services Training & Development is responsible for the development and implementation of Training and Education strategies and growth, development of robust training programs, and owning the Global Technical Services (GTS) training team. Collaboration with Field Service Leadership will be critical to ensure that every field service team member has the knowledge, skills, tools and assets vital to meet Baxter’s goals. This role manages a team of 3 Training Managers and a training specialist, with an overall organization size of 20. This role will provide the strategic direction and management of all GTS technical, leadership development and product training, including current and developing product lines.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and implement a strategic vision and framework to identify current skill gaps within the field service with the ultimate goal of evolving this framework into a sales and marketing proficiency model to improve the sales performance.
Design and develop all new hire technical & product training, ongoing product training and training to support new product launches including tactical plans that address training and performance success compared to designated goals, objectives and challenges.
Ensure a continuous improvement environment is in place to improve the performance of the service team, so they are well positioned to meet current and future goals, including continuous assessment/evaluation, making updates to training, and designing and facilitating learning experiences and content to enhance the skills and knowledge of the field service teams.
Lead efforts to improve customer experience, effectively presenting Global Technical Service Training value proposition, and ensuring our employees can effectively grow the business with current and prospective customers.
Lead a team to design and develop learning and performance systems relative to tactical plans that include conducting learning assessments, recommending training solutions, training design, delivery method, timing requirements, and required resources
Create and own outcome-based metrics for customer, internal and business partner training programs
Responsible for integrating technical services across the entire global service organization including systems, processes and people; requiring candidate to set the strategic direction for training growth, methodologies, technology enhancements, and service enablement.
Collaborate with marketing, medical affairs and other stakeholders to develop relevant and engaging training on both technical and soft skills. Identify measures and metrics to provide insights into effectiveness of the Learning and Development programs.
Work with Service Marketing and Service Commercial to set pricing for new offerings, yearly review for increased pricing and discounting structure.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 10 years in learning and development, sales or sales enablement role, preferably at least 15 years industry/functional experience
Minimum of 5 years management experience, leading a team.
LMS (Learning Management System) experience preferred.
Demonstrated passion for coaching, training, mentoring, and empowering others to drive results.
Able to easily build authentic relationships and collaborate effectively with teammates.
Experience defining data-driven strategies and driving successful implementation.
Ability to encourage and influence teams cross-functionally.
Strategic thinker with the ability to understand sophisticated issues, apply frameworks to facilitate understanding, and efficiently make decisions/ take action (with leadership and cross-functional teams).
Ensure the execution of current programs while providing strategic, forward-looking, and innovative solutions for training that blend face-to-face training with the latest technologies.
Previous experience leading a training function, managing and developing a high performing metrics-driven training team.
Outstanding communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation
Project management experience is a plus.
Change management experience is a plus.
Ability to develop structured plans, actions, and metrics for sales tools and enablement.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $144,000 - $198,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
