Associate Director, GT Manufacturing Planning & Control

This position is responsible for assisting in the consolidation for budgets, forecasts, long range plans and project analysis for Grifols Therapeutics (GT). Assist the Sr. Director Planning and Control in acting as a liaison between Corporate Finance in Barcelona and GT. Provide strategic business case scenarios for senior management evaluations. Serve as a key business partner to the Sr. Director Mfg. Planning Control and contributor to strategic initiatives, including business development and portfolio management for mid and long-range planning, ensuring strategies generate enterprise value; oversee the preparation of financial analysis for strategic initiatives. Advise the Sr. Director Mfg. Planning and Control and senior management as needed on the financial implications of business activities; assist the Sr. Director Mfg. Planning and control in the development of recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and collaboratively develop improvement programs for the attainment of corporate objectives. Manage a diverse group of financial professionals. **Primary responsibilities for role:** + Serve as a primary financial resource for consolidation of financial results for GT Manufacturing Operations + Along with the Sr. Director Mfg. Planning and Control, coordinate a team of professionals in support of the tactical and strategic requirements of the business. Provide leadership and direction as they lead the forecasting, budgeting and management reporting processes + Maintain processes and controls to ensure SOX compliance + Assist in the consolidation of annual budget and rolling forecast processes for GT Manufacturing Operations ($1-1.2B) and Capital Expenditures (approx. $70M annually); including preparation of presentations to senior management and Executive Steering Committees. Develop, implement and administer North America management financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting systems drive utilization of automated reporting tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud and Business Intelligence to enhance routine reporting and eliminate non value-added administrative task. + Serve as key business partner to the Sr. Director Mfg. Planning and Control and contributor to strategic initiatives, including: business development and portfolio management for mid and long-range planning, ensuring strategies generate enterprise value; oversee the preparation of financial analysis for GT initiatives + Produce monthly analysis of actual versus budget / forecast; ensure proper analysis is performed to monitor business performance to financial targets and are consistent with strategic objectives + Provide financial and operational analysis and assessments for ad-hoc financial projects along with comprehensive presentations for senior management, Executive Management Team (EMT), Corporate and other external parties + Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans This job description is intended to present the general content and requirements for the performance of this job. Advanced degree, MBA or CMA recommended. **Experience requirement:** + The incumbent must possess a minimum of 10 years of well-rounded experience in Accounting and Financial management. + 5+ years' experience managing a diverse team of finance professionals. + Strong overall operational background required. + Position requires strong analytical skills with an emphasis in financial modeling and business case development. + Proven skills in development and implementation of complex financial planning and reporting systems. + Strong organizational and project management skills, sound judgment and decision-making skills a must. + The ability to work with teams collaboratively is essential. + Prior FP&A experience in a Pharmaceutical or Biotherapeutics Manufacturing mid-tier or large publicly traded company preferred. **Equivalency:** Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an a Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a master’s degree with 2 years of experience. **Occupational demands:** Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues.
