Job Description:

Sun Life International (SLI) delivers innovative offshore life insurance solutions to High Net Worth (HNW) Clients around the world. We are a diverse team of best-in-class industry experts who are passionate about our Clients and the work we do for them.  

We are currently recruiting for a Associate Director, International ACG to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work closely with the International Life Valuation, ALM, and Capital/VNB teams to provide strategic analysis on assumption change management actions (ACMA) items, including proposing assumption recommendations to the International Life management team.

Provide support for the International PathWise Conversion project over the next 18 months including IFRS 17 integration, processes optimizations, model build and UAT including from both a pricing and valuation perspective.

Provide PathWise and AXIS modeling subject matter expertise and assist in developing and sharing best practices to International Life users .

Perform experience studies for lapse, mortality, and mortality improvement based on the experience study schedule.

Complete other ad hoc duties as may be required by Senior Leadership from time to time.

Competencies

Newly appointed FSA or close to finishing exams, or equivalent work experience.

5 or more years of experience working with actuarial models. Knowledge in AXIS and/or PathWise preferred.

Knowledge of International Life insurance products preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to think creatively to resolve issues.

Attention to detail, with a strong controls mindset.

Solid communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, including with different business partners across geographic locations.

Good multitasking abilities with proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
