Introduction to role:The Alexion IT organization is seeking an Associate Director, IT Business Partner to join their US Commercial IT team. This role serves as a business partner for the US Commercial Organization, maintaining and building Commercial business relationships and projects that align with key business priorities. The individual will coordinate and lead the business process design and implementation of technology solutions with the IT Service Delivery Team, adhering to SDLC and Agile principles. Additionally, the Associate Director will produce monthly and ad-hoc reports, providing insights into their assigned Commercial team's portfolio. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication, organizational, and influencing skills, striving to become a trusted partner to the business and across IT.
Accountabilities:Work closely with senior U.S. business unit leaders and attend cross-functional leadership team staff meetings.Partner and collaborate with other US and Global Commercial IT Business partners to understand business demand and drive solutions.Work with Sales & Marketing teams at a strategic level to develop detailed launch plans for new product introductions.Create long-range technology roadmaps by business unit, considering architecture and business process design.Manage select projects assigned and work closely as a trusted business partner to implement these projects.Ensure projects are included within the portfolio and tracked appropriately.Manage both capital and opex project funding, including initiating internal requests and purchase orders for suppliers.Translate business requirements to functional requirements for commercial objectives.Develop therapeutic-specific roadmaps and portfolios in collaboration with US Commercial IT Business partners.Ensure alignment with the Commercial Business Operations teams.Collaborate with international regions to share projects and standard processes.Maintain the portfolio of projects and initiatives across customer portfolios.Support customer needs with strong knowledge of data and digital operations.Coordinate and own the business process design and implementation of technology solutions with IT Enterprise Application team, Digital team & Service Delivery Team.Spearhead projects to identify process improvements for business processes.Analyze software tools from business requirements to lead fast responses.Experience with CRM and its related components.Build and implement processes for seamless ongoing support for commercial solutions at all levels.Document business processes in collaboration with the business.Build required SDLC / SOP documentation like Case, User Requirements specification, UAT plan, etc.Ensure compliance in all systems based on business initiatives.Partner with systems administrator/developer to develop requirements.Lead development and execution of test scripts as required.Perform other function-related activities as reasonably required by business needs.Experience working with business operations and commercial excellence for sales & marketing operations.Meet with business partners routinely to report on status of existing work in process and understand evolving needs.Essential Skills/Experience:Bachelor's DegreeMinimum 7+ years of experienceDemonstrated IT experience in functional areas and exposure to business operations managing IT portfoliosKnowledge of agile practices a plusProject management experience required, development and support of complex projects and solutionsExperience in CRM and/or Salesforce.com/Veeva experience a plusUnderstanding of marketing and digital technologies; hands-on experience a plusExperience working with various analytical tools and reports that support a commercial businessExperience working in a multi-disciplined, multi-functional matrix organizationExperience working in Biotech, Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industryUnderstanding of SDLC guidelinesUnderstanding of corporate compliance and government regulationsWhen we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
