Associate Director, Leadership Development

Working in alignment with our broader Best and Preferred Place to Work strategy, which positions professional and personal growth as a central tenet, the role collaborates closely with business leaders and Human Resources Business and Talent Partners to design, implement, and evaluate talent development programs that enhance team member capabilities, promote leadership growth, and foster a culture of continuous learning for the purpose of enabling organizational performance. The role also partners across the talent management continuum, including succession, performance management, and career development and mobility, to ensure that talent development offerings enable the development of critical skills necessary for team members to succeed in their current roles and grow within the organization. **How You'll Create Impact** **Strategic planning and execution:** + Partner with senior leadership to define talent development priorities that align with business objectives. + Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive learning strategy that supports employee development, career progression, and organizational success. + Build and maintain strategic external partnerships that augment in-house programs and offerings. + Plan for and manage the annual talent development budget and resource allocation to ensure effective delivery of offerings. **Learning program design and delivery:** + Lead the design and delivery of engaging structured learning programs, workshops, and other offerings for team members at various levels. + Improve upon and expand leadership program offerings, including those targeting high potential leaders, to extend to all leadership levels, including executive leadership. + Integrates ZB’s Leadership Competencies into talent development offerings, and more broadly across the talent management spectrum. + Grow existing and advance new, less formal/structured offerings geared towards supporting team members to learn through others, and through experiential, on-the-job experiences (i.e., mentoring, coaching, job rotations, side projects, etc.). + Manage online learning content platforms (i.e., LinkedIn Learning) to drive utilization and generate insights from learner data so that the maximum benefit of such partnerships is realized. **Evaluation and impact:** + In partnership with the Talent Data Analytics Team, develop and implement methods to evaluate the effectiveness of talent development offerings, their impact on key talent metrics, and overall return on investment. + Leverage data gathered as part of other talent processes to understand business needs and key skill gaps as drivers to the overall talent development strategy. + Use data and feedback to continuously refine and improve development programs, ensuring alignment with the organization’s evolving needs. **Other responsibilities:** + Lead and mentor both direct reports as well as Talent Management and Development Partners, who are responsible for supporting learning initiatives within the client group they are assigned to support. + Promote a culture of feedback, growth, and continuous performance improvement. + Act as an internal consultant, advising on best practices for talent development and helping to implement organizational change initiatives. + Partners with Corporate Communications to ensure effective communication strategies, differentiated by audience and leveraging various communications channels, are in place to support successful implementation of talent initiatives. + Stay informed and introduce innovative solutions and tools that enhance the learning and development experience across the organization. + Ensures the maintenance of accurate and confidential records and data related to talent management and development initiatives, including succession reviews/plans, priority and career plans, performance reviews, leadership development data, etc. in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Ensures the proper and compliant operation and maintenance of all systems used to store such talent records. **_This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and might not necessarily comprise all of the essential functions for purposes of the Americans with Disabilities Act._** **What Makes You Stand Out** + **Strategy Design and Execution:** Deep understanding of talent development principles and strategies, and experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining global learning processes and programs. + **Strong Domain Expertise:** Comprehensive knowledge and proven experience with learner-centered instructional design approaches and adult learning principles. + **Collaboration:** Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence diverse, global stakeholders at all levels of the organization, with strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. + **Program Management:** Demonstrated ability to manage multiple global programs and priorities (often competing or changing). + **Coaching & Mentorship:** Strong coaching skills to support team member development and leader effectiveness. + **Communication Skills:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels; strong executive presence, with experience presenting to and influencing senior leaders. + **Data Analysis:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data to drive informed decisions. **Education/Experience Requirements** + **Required:** Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of experience or Associate’s Degree and 8 years of experience or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years of experience + **Preferred:** Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education and/or a related degree. Master’s Degree. 8+ years of progressive experience in Talent Development/Learning & Development, with at least 2 years’ experience leading a global learning organization. **Travel Expectations** + Up to 20% EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability Expected Compensation Range: $130,459 - $160k, plus bonus
