The Marketing Analytics and Business Insights (MABI) team supporting AbbVie’s US Commercial organization is 200+ members strong and growing every day. We comprise highly respected researchers, analysts, and strategists striving to be the gold standard Research & Analytics organization within the biopharmaceutical industry. The Associate Director, Marketing Analytics - Immunology, within MABI, plays an instrumental role in maximizing the opportunity for AbbVie’s in-market and near-term pipeline products for the Immunology Portfolio. The Associate Director provides direct and in-direct leadership for all brand/indication combinations and is responsible for addressing the business needs across the Rheumatology, Dermatology, and Gastroenterology franchises and the IAE account organization. The individual provides direct and indirect influence over franchise analytics, financial forecasts, HCP and Patient targeting, recommendations on SG&A investment, performance measurement, and developing advanced capabilities. These responsibilities are critical in driving strategic recommendations for the Immunology portfolio and each franchise. The Associate Director should demonstrate strong subject matter expertise within the U.S. Immunology market environment and understand the data and analytic techniques needed to influence strategy. This individual will engage with external data and service providers (including IQVIA, ZS, and others) and be responsible for pulling through brand strategy and tactics at a national and sub-national level.
Major Responsibilities:
+ Continue advancing analytic capabilities within the Immunology Therapeutic Area through proactive development of new data and technical capabilities working with internal teams and external suppliers
+ Partner with Abbvie Digital Lab and MABI Center to build out Immunology Omnichannel platforms and capabilities, including partnering with MABI Center to build the required Immunology data and Omnichannel Analytics Infrastructure
+ Advance Immunology reporting and tracking capabilities, automating and streamlining to automate and reduce manual work
+ Build highly collaborative relationships with MABI Insights and Analytics, MABI Market Access, MABI Center, Digital Lab, Finance/Forecasting, MABI Patient Services, and Sales Operations
+ Provide product performance reports on regular intervals that facilitate a deep understanding of brand performance relative to key targets (Plan and LBE)
+ Develop fact-based promotional investment strategies and guide investment decisions from marketing mix/business optimization and other analysis to optimize performance, influence business growth & inform the annual financial forecasting and brand planning process
+ Develop near-term KPIs and longer-term ROI measurements that will inform recommendations to optimize personal and non-personal promotional channels
+ Understand sub-national drivers of cross-brand performance, providing more granularity to performance dynamics across distribution channels and customers
+ Leverage innovative, sophisticated analytic models that address critical issues but also meet key business criteria (e.g. cost, risk, business impact) and key technical criteria (e.g. reliability, validity, and predictability)
+ Effectively work with cross-functional partners to deliver integrated analytics reflecting the diverse contributions across the functions
Qualifications
Education:
+ Required: Bachelor’s Degree is required in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Decision Sciences, Operations Research, or Applied Mathematics
+ Preferred: Advanced Degree (Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology or Engineering) with emphasis in marketing/sales/quantitative analysis.
Required Skills:
+ 8-10 years of experience in quantitative analysis of sales and marketing information and the use of this information in the development of business plans and strategies
+ Working knowledge of multivariate statistics, analytical software, and pharmaceutical data sources (IQVIA, SHA, MMIT, SSR, CMS, Truven, etc.)
+ Deep hands-on expertise in current analytical methods & tools (including machine learning)
+ Strong working knowledge of modeling and querying tools such as R, Python, SQL, Dataiku, etc
+ This position requires an intimate knowledge of the marketing, sales, and logistics planning processes, advanced quantitative expertise, systems understanding, and the ability to develop and use specialized analytic techniques within a business setting
+ Strong visualization and storytelling skills; ability to synthesize complex information into concise, impactful messages and communications
+ Demonstrated ability to manage a wide variety of analytic projects/portfolio and multiple priorities
+ Adept in working with and analyzing syndicated pharma data (IQVIA, Symphony, etc)
+ Experience developing and deploying analytics solutions that address business needs
+ Adept in navigating a matrix environment at a large company, including effective communication and influence skills
+ Strong influence and leadership skills and a proven ability to work closely and effectively with all corporate functions and senior management

+ The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
