Job Description

Oversee project implementation and improve behavioral health programs through: Detailed implementation planning and ongoing coordination of clinical, operational and fiscal quality improvement (QI) efforts for SUD Acute Care [Addiction Consult Service (ACS)] initiatives including but not limited to: ED Leads, CATCH, CATCH-lite, ART, and CASACs within Obstetrician (OB) units/services Facilitate interdisciplinary workgroup meetings with facility clinical/administrative ACS initiatives’ leads, including agenda setting and oversight of project next steps Implementation and optimization of ACS initiatives’ dashboards, workflows and electronic medical record (EMR) clinical documentation tools and reports to inform QI and satisfy grant funding deliverables Support ACS initiatives’ budget modification processes, working closely with the OBH Director of Fiscal Affairs to fulfill requests Collaborate with ACS initiatives’ leads, including OBH Director of Fiscal Affairs, Central Office Revenue Cycle and PhyCare colleagues to reconcile ACS initiatives’ billing and revenue discrepancies Oversee the recruitment and tracking of vacant ACS initiatives’ lines, including Peer Counselors, Clinicians (Social Workers, Addiction Counselors, and Mental Health Counselors), and Medical Providers Oversee data reporting for ACS initiatives’, including reporting of programmatic metrics and revenue reporting to leadership, stakeholders, and funders Liaise with academic or other partners to conduct program research/evaluation Contribution to peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations on ACS interventions, highlighting outcomes and informing best practices for future programming Participate in behavioral health/SUD departmental and interdepartmental meetings Provide project management support on additional SUD projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor or departmental leadership All other duties, as needed

Minimum Qualifications

1. Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Public Health, Health Care Specialization, Social Work, Psychology or related field; and
2. Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in hospital or regulatory agency administration, with particular emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health delivery services; or
3. Possession of a valid license and current registration to practice in a mental health field issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).

Department Preferences

Hospital organization, administration and standards, regulations and laws applicable to hospital operations. Knowledge of principles of business and personnel administration, management functions and support service functions Project management experience preferred 4 years of experience in the human services field preferred 3 years of increasingly responsible experience in hospital or regulatory agency administration, with an emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health services preferred
