This is what you will do:
In this role, you will be responsible for directing the annual global advocacy planning process and executing projects related to Global Patient Advocacy for rare disease. This role will collaborate with global team members to create awareness, develop metrics, and communicate outcomes with internal cross-functional teams, vendors, and external customers. This role is also responsible for flawless execution of above therapeutic area global Patient Advocacy projects, representation at key external meetings, and alignment with global and in country patient advocacy.
You will be responsible for:
Project management and coordination across global patient advocacy team for internal and external projects including PFC, Community Advisory Boards, and more.Developing internal and external material for patient engagement projects; Manage global review and approval processes.Lead communication and coordination across the internal matrix while staying abreast of program priorities and timelines.Identify new opportunities for global patient advocacy engagement and collaboration with Astra Zeneca Corporate Affairs and PolicyCreating annual planning process and manage on-going plans and metrics for global patient advocacy function.Managing vendors; Explore and confirm vendors for team projects.On-board and guide advocacy team on company processes and regulatory, legal, and compliance directions for patient engagement activitiesBe resourceful, patient-centric, and provide exceptional customer service to team members to solve daily challenges in a large, evolving organization.Create collaborative relationships with other functional areas and internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, Global Medical Affairs Operations, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Communications, across global regions about patient engagement.Work with the highest degree of professionalism and per the company’s code of Ethics and Business ConductYou will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or 4-year equivalent educational degree required.7+ years of professional experience in project management, marketing, public relations, and/or consulting, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industries.Proven ability to create, review, and approve pharmaceutical materials for both internal and external use, ensuring compliance with local and global regulatory standards.Proficiency in selecting, negotiating with, and managing vendors, as well as overseeing budgets to maximize efficiency and deliver high-quality results.Experience in managing in-person events, including meetings, tradeshows, conferences.Previous experience engaging with patients or collaborating with patient advocacy groups in a health-related setting, either through professional roles or volunteer work.Ability to work in global environment, working in matrix organization with multiple project managers and shifting timelines.Strong interpersonal skills to create team collaboration and alignment.Ability to travel 20%+ of time (weekends included).Tech-savvy, ability to work across multiple internal IT platforms, including Veeva, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as social media platforms.We would prefer for you to have:
