The AbbVie Patient Services (APS) Marketing Team leads efforts across multiple brands and therapeutic areas to deliver the best possible patient treatment experience and help patients achieve their full treatment plan potential. 

AbbVie Patient Services Associate Director – Neurology Marketing

The Associate Director for the AbbVie Patient Services Neurology Marketing team leads strategic marketing planning for Neurology Patient Services programs including value propositions, positioning, patient initiatives, and creative development. The Associate Director serves as the patient, service program, and product subject matter expert for the patient services marketing team.

The Associate Director plays a pivotal role in closely collaborating with multiple teams to ensure the successful development and execution of strategies for Patient Services marketing. Within the organization, the Associate Director cultivates strong working relationships and encourages extensive collaboration with teams in Patient Services, Digital Lab, Co-pay Center of Excellence, Patient Engagement, medical and regulatory review, market research, business analytics, Patient Services Training, and other cross-franchise teams. Externally, the Associate Director partners with various agencies and consultants to effectively lead the implementation of marketing strategies and plans for numerous stakeholders. The candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and a patient focus that drives the need for quality deliverables and performance. 

Key Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement marketing strategic and tactical plans, for multiple AbbVie Patient Services brands, focused on achieving the brand’s objectivesAssist in leading APS Marketing Annual Planning Process and collaborate with business partners to ensure pull-throughDevelop patient experience journeys and then leverage these journeys to develop Patient Services programs to ensure patients have the resources they need to adhere to their doctor prescribed treatment planConsistently execute multiple marketing initiatives on timeProvide oversight of agency relationships, focusing on partnerships with their Account, Strategy, Project Management, Creative, Measurement, CRM, Digital and Media teams to develop innovative and impactful initiatives and tacticsEffectively collaborate with leadership and cross functional teams within a highly matrixed organization    Partner with Marketing Business Insights and Analytics (MABI) team to evaluate and report on the effectiveness of campaign strategies through campaign measurement plans, key performance indicator development and formulate recommendations for optimization/scaling across brandsProvide leadership, direction, and development for direct reportEffectively track and manage the marketing budget

Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required


Qualifications
Advanced degree and previous marketing leadership experience required8+ years of marketing experience with the ideal candidate having some previous Pharma experienceDemonstrated ability developing and managing marketing plans and programs – including brand positioning, SWOT analysis, market research, marketing objectives/strategies, omnichannel strategy, end-to-end campaign management, and finance managementStrong background in customer, patient, or service and retention strategiesProficient planning and organization skills, attention to detail, execution, agility, and follow-throughExperience managing omnichannel campaigns on Saleforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager – or similar platformsAdept at managing and leading various external and internal partnerships, including agencies, production vendors and cross-functional teamsDemonstrated experience leading marketersExcellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​
