Job Description:
This position supports the administration and strategic direction of the Office of Planned Giving and Philanthropic Strategies and is also responsible for ambitious fundraising goals. This is a key fundraising and administrative position within the Development Office; one that plays an important role in planning and executing the University’s planned giving vision. This position will report to the Executive Director of Planned Giving and Philanthropic Strategies,
The focus areas of this role include the management of a robust marketing and communications plan in collaboration with the Advancement communications and marketing team; management of a comprehensive donor stewardship plan in conjunction with the Advancement stewardship team; coordination of efficient and accurate gift processing and documentation; and increased gift planning activity, new gifts, new commitments, and new legacy society members.
This position will be based out of Providence, RI.

Job Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in planned giving or a related field such as estate planning, development, fundraising, trust, and/or finance.
Required Qualifications
Strong project management and organizational skills
Marketing and communications experience.
Skilled analytical and strategic planning capabilities
Computing proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, and the ability to use technology to gather, interpret, and organize data.
Adherence to ethical fundraising practices and Brown University’s confidentiality standards.
Ability to work with and command the respect of faculty, senior officers, and other high-level volunteers
Knowledge of and commitment to the values and mission of higher education
Proven ability to solicit high-level gifts or equivalent proven experience in another field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PG Calculation software.
