Associate Director, Qlik Data Engineering
Job Summary:The Associate Director of the Qlik Center of Excellence (CoE) will support the Director in driving the strategic vision, development, and execution of Qlik-based analytics solutions across the organization. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring the effective use of Qlik technologies, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Qlik CoE, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.• Team Support: Assist in leading and mentoring a team of Qlik developers, analysts, and data scientists, promoting a collaborative and innovative environment.• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, IT, and other stakeholders to support analytics initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.• Solution Implementation: Support the design, development, and deployment of Qlik-based analytics solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and drive actionable insights.• Best Practices Standards: Help establish and enforce best practices, standards, and governance for Qlik development and usage.• Training Support: Assist in promoting data literacy by providing training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize Qlik tools.• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of Qlik solutions, making recommendations for improvements and optimizations.• Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in Qlik technologies and data analytics, incorporating relevant innovations into the CoE.Job Summary:The Associate Director of the Qlik Center of Excellence (CoE) will support the Director in driving the strategic vision, development, and execution of Qlik-based analytics solutions across the organization. • Qlik Sense Development: Proficiency in developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Qlik Sense.• Data Modeling: Experience in data modeling, including creating and managing data models within Qlik Sense.• ETL Processes: Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and tools.• SQL: Strong SQL skills for querying and managing databases.• Scripting: Proficiency in Qlik Sense scripting for data loading and transformation.• Data Integration: Experience with integrating data from various sources, such as databases, APIs, and flat files.• Performance Tuning: Skills in optimizing Qlik Sense applications for performance and scalability.• Business Intelligence (BI): Understanding of BI concepts and best practices.• UI/UX Design: Ability to design user-friendly and visually appealing dashboards.• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices.• Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git.• Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying Qlik Sense applications.• Security: Understanding of data security and governance practices.• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Communication: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and team members.

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience including management or leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Highly Prefer 10 years of technical experience in data analysis and intelligence OR Master's degree and 5 years of technical experience in data analysis and intelligence• Five (5) years of leadership experience supervising a team of professionals.• Extensive experience with Qlik Sense and Qlik Cloud, including dashboard development and data integration.• Experience in working with multiple business units to understand the overall business strategy and developing a data strategy which is aligned to the overall business goals and business strategy.• Experience in process improvement and metrics development.• Experience in project management as it pertains to managing end-to-end Qlik implementation projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.• Financial Services experience is preferred.• Experience or understanding of programming languages like Python, Java, R, Shell, Perl, etc. is a plus.License and Certifications:• Qlik Sense Data Architect Certification is a plus
