Job Description
Come to work each day with an inclusive and collaborative US BTS, Architecture and Technology Services team. You will be joining a group of passionate technology individuals, work as one team to solve US Patient Services and Consumer marketing business problems using Salesforce platform features and cutting edge technologies. As an Associate Director Salesforce Architecture and Delivery in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you’ll have opportunities to contribute to the digital transformation of a leading biopharma company and pioneer in Patient Services, helping to create solutions that impact patients and their communities for the better.
In this role you’ll be responsible for:
+ Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
+ Understands corporation’s & department’s vision, goals and strategies. Develops appropriate Salesforce platform and BTS strategies aligned with the business.
+ Champion change and innovation. Stimulates creativity and innovation in others. Open to new ideas. Supports those who initiate change and take risks.
+ Elicits and diagnoses strategic business requirements for initiatives and programs. Provides advice and counsel regarding effective system utilization to meet business requirements.
+ Understands the business processes in multiple business functions. Leads development and application of strategy. Work involves application of high- level management and leadership skills. Has deep understanding of information systems industry and emerging technologies and implications for the broad business environment.
+ Determines alternative delivery mechanisms. Understands industry best practice, strategies, and tactics in client business area.
+ Negotiates, secures, oversees and ensures that resources are available to meet the long-range operational demands of the business area.
+ Oversees and control department budgets, project capital / RCE expenditures & ROI. Develops, monitors and meets expense and recovery plans. Continually looks for opportunities for cost avoidance and cost reductions. Manages IT investment for multiple functions.
+ Participates in setting policies and procedures. Identifies the impact of any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations on the organization's use of information technology.
+ Operates within broad goals and objectives. Makes decisions that impact the division. Makes strategic decisions that impact the corporation. Has authority and responsibility for all aspects of a significant area of work. Is held fully accountable for actions taken and decisions made, both by self and any subordinates. Establishes and maintains high-quality relationships with all levels across the company and with external partners / suppliers.
+ Set standards and framework for architecture and delivery team to meet business demand; Establish outcome-based metrics and goals for the team to accomplish and show progressive improvements in architecture and delivery with outcomes.
+ Define and refine value stream to produce business value faster and cost effective; define metrics to measure them throughout the value stream.
+ Define lean deliverables in the entire value stream by looks; ensure those deliverables are up to date relevant and ensure deliverables enable us to manage and support the platform effectively.
+ Define platform roadmap and influence business, product owners and leadership team to sponsor the technical roadmap items and add to the platform roadmap. Be the trusted technology advisor for business to solve business problems in Salesforce platform.
+ Be up to date and relevant with the Salesforce platform and educate the business and BTS team to take advantage of the features with ROI metrics.
+ Ensure the entire delivery team is utilized optimally with the right resource planning to meet business needs and the platform roadmap.
+ Bring strategic thought leadership in the Salesforce platform investment; Innovate platform architecture and capabilities and delivery team ready to support the tangible growth of the business.
+ Provide high quality estimates with minimal details on business demand for projects; Create business use case to secure funding for projects and roadmap items with compelling ROI story.
Tools and skills you will use in this role:
+ Salesforce.Com, ServiceCloud
+ Hands On experience in Apex, Triggers, LWC, Flows, Visualforce Page and Integration features
+ Experience in Web development with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and JavaScript framework.
+ Object Oriented Design and design patterns.
+ DevOps CI/CD/CT experience in Salesforce Eco system.
Qualifications
Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:
Required
+ Bachelor's Degree with 9 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 8 years’ experience; PhD with 4 years’ experience, preferably in business information systems, or a discipline closely related to the client area served.
+ Project Management experience. Business and process experience.
+ 1-2 years supervisory and employee development experience. 2-3 years strategic IT planning experience.
+ Requires in‐depth knowledge of the systems development life cycle, client area’s functions and systems, and systems application program development technological alternatives.
+ 8+ years of work experience in technical project execution on large enterprise projects, with experience in business requirements analysis, Solution architecture, designing and solution delivery.
+ 8+ years of experience in implementing and delivering solutions built on Salesforce platform and exposure to Service Cloud implementation. Health Cloud experience is preferred.
+ Exposure and understanding of enterprise architecture principles, Salesforce Well architected concepts, have implemented Salesforce scalable and sustainable solutions using best architecture principles.
+ 4+ years of managing large scale Salesforce org(s) architecture and Delivery.
+ 3+ years of Working experience in Agile Delivery frameworks.
+ Can explain and present complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to the highest in a persuasive and convincing manner.
Beneficial

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
