Overview TRC is seeking an Associate Director of Socioeconomics to join our professional team supporting our clients’ growing needs for economic impact analyses, socioeconomic evaluations, planning, and documentation. The position would be part of team that works closely with our Technical Director and with Senior Project Managers from other teams. Our team provides support for evaluating, planning, siting, and permitting challenging projects, primarily for industrial, utility, renewable energy, oil & gas, and public sector clients. TRC is looking for a self-motivated individual who is enthusiastic about their work with a strong commitment to client service and technical excellence. While this individual will have opportunities to directly manage and execute projects, the successful applicant must also enjoy the day-to-day challenges of program management and business development. As a seller/doer of socioeconomic advisory services, this role would include direct interaction with clients, including proposal development. The identified candidate my work from various locations across the US and report to a nearby TRC office. Responsibilities Manage deliverables including NEPA exhibits/resource reports. Evaluate and proofread reports developed by junior staff Provide mentoring and support for team Develop and propose on offerings for clients Support internal and external marketing and service awareness Build relationship across TRC sectors and business units to identify opportunities Collaborate with internal professionals to create thought leadership and marketing content Support the evaluation of socioeconomic issues Qualifications Bachelor's degree required/Master’s degree preferred in Economics, Planning, Land Use or related field 10+ years of experience, preferably working with a consulting/engineering firm Experience with NEPA documents and evaluating environmental impacts through a socioeconomic lens Expertise in building rapport across business units and corporate functions. Understands business drivers and operational processes. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
