ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS LEARNING – VALUE EVIDENCE SCIENTIFIC ENGAGEMENT

Johnson Johnson is currently recruiting for an Associate Director, Strategic Communications Learning (SCL), part of the Scientific Affairs (SA) Value Evidence Scientific Engagement (VESE) team to be located in Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA.

The Value Evidence Scientific Engagement (VESE) organization, within SA engages with Population Health Decision Makers (PHDM) across the product lifecycle to share clinical and economic information about approved and investigational drug therapies, address potential impact on formulary and coverage decisions, treatment paradigms, and budgets, and enhance understanding of the value of innovation, health equity implications, and market dynamics.

Key accountabilities and/or activities of this position:

Create resources and shape strategies:

Drive and lead the timely development and approval of PHDM-centric resources. Examples include: Evidence andAccessDecks (EADs),pipeline decks, economic decks,and other proactive and reactive resources.

Build communication resourcesperFDA guidance, regulations, and JJ SOPs ensuring references are accurate and securing copyright approvals

Determine resource content, source and story flow based on PHDM needs and facilitate alignment across multiple partners to deliver an impactful communication resource

Adeptly navigate Copy Approval Committee concept review, submission, and approval processes

Shape communication strategies by ensuringinsights/voice-of-customer and new data areconsideredthroughout the development and maintenance of customer-facing materials

Collaborate regularly acrossScientific Affairs,Strategic Customer Group (SCG), Medical Affairs, Research Development, Commercialto ensure communication materials are accurate, effective, and consistent to medical strategy

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree is required

Advanced degree in a scientific field is preferred

Professional Experience:

3-5 years medical communications, writing, medical information, scientific research or related experience is required

3-5 years of meaningful experience inpharmaceutical industry is helpful

Solid understanding of US health care system is required

Solid understanding of regulatory guidance and regulations related to conducting research and disseminating scientific information is required

Working knowledge of pharmaceutical strategies and tactics to meet both commercial and scientific objectives for a given product is required

Demonstrated abilities and competencies:

Communication:

Synthesize and organize complex concepts from a variety of sources

Envision new solutions with an open mind

Advanced PowerPoint skills; proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook

Clear and concise writing

Experience implementing processesor creating SOP/work instructionsdesigned to improve overall efficiencies is preferred

This role may require up to 10% domestic travel and allows for hybrid/flexible work arrangement (based in Titusville, NJ or Horsham, PA).

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to 235,750

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. ·
