Sales Enablement are a team of professionals who partner with Business Leaders across Gartner Consulting and other divisions to enable sustainable double-digit growth in sales and productivity. The team encompasses Sales Strategy & Insights, Business Generation, Proposal Management, Creative Design and Knowledge Management.

Role Purpose

The Strategic Insights Lead will play a crucial role in enabling the growth of Gartner Consulting across all our key markets. The successful candidate will be accountable for helping increase sales and productivity through the design, build and roll-out of analytics and insights that help leaders and sales teams make more informed data-driven decisions on where and how they prioritize their sales efforts.

Responsibilities

Build and evolve real-time pipeline and sales insights that help generate demand and build pipeline, grow sales, retain our most important accounts, and coach sales teams.

Build operational insights that support sales planning and execution, everything from portfolio planning to the effectiveness of sales methodology.

Work closely with our Executive and Senior Leadership teams to understand their key sales challenges, derive data-driven insights, and recommend solutions.

Lead presentations with leaders to share insights and recommendations. Communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and effective manner

Build out operational analytics (i.e. sales methodology adoption, sales forecasting).

Demo new insights and educate and enable leaders to read the data and act.

Partner with other functions to embed insights into core business processes. For example, working with HR to evolve performance management

Play a leading role in evolving existing and implementing new technologies. For example, Consulting will transition to Salesforce for CRM in 2026.

Collaborate with Consulting Data & Analytics, Corporate IT and counterparts in other business units on topics such as data sourcing, data governance etc.

Coach, develop and prioritize the work of one Strategic Insights Manager.

Grow our Insights capability in line with the growth of the Consulting business.

Maintain an understanding of our strategy, operating model and how we go to market.

Professional Experience

Strong hands-on experience designing, building and rolling out data-driven insights for Sales Leaders.

Operates with an agile/design thinking mindset.

Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of the typical B2B sales process

Ability to extrapolate linkages between large amounts of data, generate insights and distill complex concepts into actionable information

Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills. Able to articulate these insights and present recommendations to leadership in a compelling manner

Advance knowledge of Power BI – Dax, Power Query, Advanced Modelling etc.)

Expertise with R/Python. Good working knowledge of a querying language (i.e. SQL)

Proficient knowledge of MS Offsite packages (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce, including an understanding of backend data capture

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related discipline.
