The Systems Engineering Integration and Test Department at Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS), a world leader in state-of-the-art focal plane and camera products, has a career opportunity for an energetic engineering leader who is committed and passionate about Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) solutions to serve as a senior Portfolio Cross Product Team Lead (CPTL), overseeing engineering execution across a broad product line. The successful candidate will be experienced working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and oversee the detailed design, analysis, trade studies, manufacturing and test of EO/IR subsystems. In this role as the Portfolio CPTL, the leader will work closely across all engineering disciplines to ensure alignment across similar program architectures, strategies, and roadmaps.
This position is an onsite role at the Goleta, California location.
**What You Will Do**
In partnership with Systems Integration and Test Department Leader and Raytheon Vision Systems Chief Engineer, provide program and process oversight to the portfolio programs, ensuring the associated products are developed and delivered within the allotted cost, schedule, technical quality and performance parameters.
+ Develop and align execution strategies and drive efficiencies across all portfolio programs
+ Promote common best practices and implement lessons learned across programs
+ Harmonize Opportunity and Risk Management, identify trends, and establish realistic mitigation/capture plans
+ Maintain consistent approaches to EAC/LREs, with reporting in alignment with Leadership Team flow down
+ Establish key metrics capture for benefit across the portfolio and discipline
+ Apply business roadmaps, tenets, and goals into program oversight, supporting implementation across product line
+ Develop methods and plans to drive productivity across functions
+ Provide guidance, coaching and leadership to Integrated Product Team Leaders (IPTLs) and Cost Account Managers (CAMs) supporting programs across the RVS portfolio to ensure effective communications and program execution
+ Responsible for reviewing each SEIT IPTL/CAM’s EACs and reviewing/approving proposals
+ Interface with Portfolio Senior Leadership team to communicate program execution, status, mitigation to barriers, and alignment to overall portfolio products goals and needs, within and outside of the organization
+ Provide meaningful insight into business decisions and strategies using a deep enough understanding of general and Raytheon specific financial metrics (e.g. bookings, sales, operating profit, and cash) and processes, and program metrics (e.g. CPI/SPI, EAC) and processes.
+ Effectively prioritize and de-conflict competing tasks based on an accurate assessment of what will provide the greatest value to the business.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
+ Experience in EO/IR programs and technologies: Infrared Focal Plane Arrays (FPAs), FPA manufacturing, optical sensing systems, integrated detector (electronics) cooler assemblies design, development, integration, test, and verification/validation
+ Prior experience as an IPTL/CPTL supporting cross-functional teams across multiple program areas and customer bases.
+ Experience applying an Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) to program technical baseline, executing a formal gate process. EVMS certification is required.
+ Experience leading multidisciplinary teams of systems engineering professionals
+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ PM Level 4 certification or higher
+ Experience leading teams in multiple geographic locations
+ Experience serving as Risk and Opportunity Management Board Lead
+ Experience in Functional and/or Program management
+ Experience communicating and collaborating at the portfolio PM and CE level
+ A related advanced degree

The salary range for this role is 162,000 USD - 326,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
